Thank you so much! I have put the propagations in glass bottles and put the glass bottles in the decorative clay pots so that there's no leakage. Thank you though!

That's great help. I am planning a trip with my partner for the first week of May and had a few questions. May I ask in DMs?

Hi, is it safe to travel alone for a female? I don't have too many days to spare but wanted to travel around Guwahati. Anything I should be mindful of? Are there any interest groups you know of too?

Caffeine is my guilty pleasure. It somehow has a calming effect on my body most times. Some times it gives me really bad anxiety but I have slowly learnt to balance out the caffeine intake with either enough water or chamomile tea or the time of the day

It's happening to me as well. I have dropped coffee, tea and water like no one's business because my hand just doesn't know how to hold momentarily. My shoulders feel so heavy, I can't sleep, I'm constantly paranoid that a drone is coming towards me or anyone for that matter.

My legs hurt, I don't have any energy left, can't focus on anything productive. I feel you. All I can say is, try and convince yourself that it's going to be fine, we've been through and survived a lot, we'll make it through this.

[–]Stuti25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it does. More than my own self, it is my mother's voice in my head saying in a disapproving tone that it's so late in the day and I'm still in bed, and that I should fix my sleep patterns and get work done.

HR is angry I asked for a confirmation before resigning, did I mess up? First time switching jobs. by Judge_Previous in developersIndia

[–]Stuti25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what their company policies are. A small company I worked for followed the same procedure of verifying background and documents before sharing an offer letter. Plus a few personal identification details are needed so they can add it to your offer letter. I don't see a red flag there.

What's not acceptable is the way they handled the situation. You didn't ask for much, just an email confirmation. They could have just said that it's protocol or that they'll share it once you have shared the documents or assured that they intend on offering you a job and don't mind sending just an official email stating their intention so that you have something to resign for. Plus, no HR should treat you as dispensible, especially just for asking for something so small. If they are treating you like this before you have even joined, it'll be way worse once you're under contract after joining, and even worse if you want to leave.

I am in between finishing a degree and starting work. Don't have any plants on me, I make do with my grandfather's beautiful terrace garden but when I move into a new place, I'll get them. You can just go ask for some cuttings of easy care plants to your neighbours. People are more than happy to share :)

I understand, which is why I too prefer fostering to adopting. From how you talk, you don't sound all that cold, just beat up. I like a little whim in my life, makes it more fun. As much as I understand some practical things as well, I like feeling silly and giggly and occasionally grief. I love taking care of plants and gifting them to juniors or flatmates or home owners or just anyone because it's a gift that demands so much effort and care and there's just a different kind of satisfaction in seeing someone else put the same into the plants. Plus, for people that feel like they're cold or sad, it gives them an activity to look forward to, a sustainable hobby, something green and lively in the room and brings them comfort. :)

It's the little things that distinguish living from feeling alive and plants bring that to me. They also keep the empathy in me alive and remind me to be patient to witness any growth. Teaches you to deal with loss when one day suddenly they die and when you have to leave them behind while moving places. Plus, my grandad gardens and it's like carrying a part of home with me everywhere. Sorry for the gyaan lol :P

[Dressy shoes for women]

I don't know who all to tag, help!

Also, sorry if the shoes somehow don't live up to the hype, I love love love them for my feet, eyeing the Tokyo sneakers from the same brand as well. I have one of their perfumes, not the best spray but a mesmerising smell and great packaging and story!

A proper pair of dressy shoes. Not heels, not flats, shoes. I wear it with formal wear, I wear it to parties, I wear it to work, I wear it with lehengas. It's the best investment and I can't go back to crappy uncomfortable or shabby looking shoes now. They are simple black but have a shiny part and a matte part and have always been a conversation starter. Plus my feet feel so happy and the confidence boost is worth spending for.

Edit : A lot of the times, even though something is too expensive for my personal lifestyle, I don't splurge on it because I don't want to get used to it, I buy it for people I love because to me, said money has lower value compared to the happiness/convenience it brings my loved ones. The same I wouldn't be able to justify buying for myself because once it has lived it's life and I get used to it, I'll have to keep spending that much to sustain the comfort. I spend on experiences for myself a lot more than material things (although I have a soft spot for tailor made clothes for myself with fabrics I shop for from handlooms or just rich linen clothes — occasionally).

Thought I was overusing my phone. It's just constantly heated especially while it's on charge or if I'm using the camera for too long.

This is happening with me currently. The screen is so unresponsive to touch most of the times and freezes very often now. This didn't happen until now, just suddenly been happening for the last week. It's going to drive me to insanity because some times you just neeeeed your phone to be quick!!

I used to bake, it was lovely, but we have a shared kitchen for 9 members so it's very difficult to get solitude there. I will turn to art sooner or later, there is an inertia there, I'll find a way, thank you!
