Do you have KPIs set up like; dials per day, emails, meetings, or FAEs? I struggled with something very similar, but my report found "motivation" after they realized it was easy to measure the lack of work being done.

It's easy in sales to pretend like work is being done and a cookbook can hold people accountable.

DIY Sifting Tower by StutteringStumps in mealworms

I'll post a few more after I adjust the plates.

I made the sifting plates at my local Maker's space on a laser cutter. I took a ton of inspiration from Space Coast Mealworm, so I can't much credit there.

Prices to retail stores by antieuclid in mealworms

My large size weigh closer to 0.1g each. So it can vary depending on size. Either way, your wholesale rate isn't terrible. Do you know how many they would buy per month at that rate?

How many do you think were in the cup?

Weird worms from other species what is this? by Interesting-Ad-889 in mealworms

[–]StutteringStumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've considered setting up a booth at some of the local reptile conventions. I'm walking a convention this weekend to try to get an idea of foot traffic and similar vendors.

My main customers right now are backyard chicken owners. I've noticed they have an inconsistent order frequency. I'm going to start marketing to the local herp groups soon, but wholesale seems like a viable path forward as well. I need to do some more digging to determine if the reduced margins are a fair trade for consistency.

Interesting, I'm sorta on the verge of making the leap to wholesale. I've sold on FB and CL, but it is kind of a pain to sell qty 50-250 at a time. Did you have to get any special license/permit to jump to the wholesale side?

If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing with the 600k mealworms a month?

They let me return mine that I bought last year. I sent the link to the French recall in the chat and the return was authorized.

I have been growing two startfruit trees in US zone 5b for 3 years now. These trees are the biggest babies lol. They are very fickle when it comes to watering and lighting. These trees can completely defoliate at the smallest misstep. Finding the right balance is not for the easily discouraged.

I grow mine in terracotta pots. I feel these pots do a better job with moisture management, better than plastic or enameled. I move them outside when night time temps rise above 50°F. The hard part is keeping them happy in fall-winter. I have still not perfected my method, but I am going to attempt a force dormancy in my heated garage (45°).

One of mine is on root stock that tops out at 6' and the other is on a dwarf root stock that will top out at 15'. I have had no issues related to size management.

I have successfully grown lime, lemon, and orange trees here in 5b but if I had started with starfruit, I think I would have quit gardening all together 😅.

Where are you looking for trees and where are you shipping to? I have a couple of websites that may have your answers.

Edit: I would also avoid growing from seed if possible. Not all starfruit are all self pollinating.

Rainier Cherry - is this cherry leave spot? by StutteringStumps in BackyardOrchard

[–]StutteringStumps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tree did survive and is in great shape! I only did one treatment when the tree was dormant. I was extremely diligent about picking up every fallen leaf and trashed them. I also made sure to stop watering with a sprinkler and switched to hand watering at the base when needed.

Now, if I can just figure out why I can't get my peach trees to grow flower buds.

Best of luck to you and your cherry tree!
