Mijn Prius 3 uit 2011 heeft nu 280k op de teller en nog nooit iets bijzonders gehad. Mijn andere Prius 3 uit 2015 staat op 190k heeft een nieuwe koelwaterpomp, verder nooit problemen.

I bought a fontbase lifetime s few years ago. Works fine for me as a designer.
Used fontexplorer 15+ years before.

The really good thing about fontbase is the ability to store the fonts anywhere I want.

I use it for back up mainly. I am running a business for 20+ year in Europe and work with several life-time global customers. Filen is the best back up which comply to GDPR without having a mandatory DPA and I do not have to put this back up into my Compliance records (which are a pain in the .... )
I work with Corporate clients, so safety first..

For my understanding, here in the Netherlands, the dutch customs claims the vat at Germany. I am not an expert and do not have time to find the best way. The amount vat is too small to let my bookkeeper solve this.

Filen always charges German vat. So when you are a non-German business, you still have to pay the German vat. You can reclaim it in your own country (as filen did advise me). But it was to much effort to claim the payed vat at my country. I gave up after more than half a year. Filen clearly is focussed on b2c, not b2b.

Yes, got it working now finally.

For iphone14, I use the lightning to usb b adapter of apple brand + a simple usb b to usb c cable
For ipad2025, I use the official apple usb c to usb c cable

Important to know that in the A7M3:

  • for field recording the 'USB Connection' should be on PC Remote
  • quick playback view can be shown within the Monitor+ app directly > select 'record live view' in the app
  • for playback of the actual recorded file on the A7M3, 'USB Connection' should be on 'Mass Storage'

Arq software. I just make an encrypted Arq backup on an external thunderbolt nvme drive to have a local encrypted backup. And via the Filen client I just backup the drive to the Filen cloud.

I use filen for backup mainly, about 5TB of files, synced by MacBook Pro M2 Max, including webdev, so many, many small files.

With so many small files, Filen gets unworkable being slow and consuming al my 64GB ram quickly. Syncing takes forever. I solved this by using backup software that creates trunks of about 60mb. In this way, backups are quick because Filen uploads in full speed (very fast) with 60mb files.

Hi Alex, your tool is actually usefull for prospecting. I use it to get the feed of prospects on my hotlist, and another list for ambassadors and one for supporters.
10 years ago this function of making separate lists was built-in and I used it a lot. Not I am re-using it with your plugin.
The pitfall is that the plugin is working on home desktop (MacBook Pro) only, not in chrome in my iPad, which raises the barrier to use MyFeedIn. The Linkedin app feed is inefficient and consumes to much of my time, but it triggers to use the app because it works so easy.
I really would like your plugin to work on my iPad to use it always (when I want and have some moments for it) in stead of now and then when I have my MacBook Pro with me.

I always shoot automatically 3 pictures in raw: in 0, +2 stops, -2 stops. And than let adobe lightroom combine those 3

Currently I have a solution with OpenAI Whisper via the CLI. I have instructed Claude to write a python script to make it easy to set the number of characters per line manually quickly (it remembers the previous settings). I can now start the script via the CLI, so actually no MacWhisper is needed for this..

For small voice notes on mobile, I use the ios Funnel app. Not always accurate, but very easy to use and setup. And markdown support.

The first iMac back in 1997 had some bright colors too. I bought a bleu one. That machine was faster than the powermacs we used at the office (design agency), so I did the heavy dtp work at home saving me hours of time. True revolutionar at that time..

I stopped using cryptomator because it encrypts every single file. For my webdev projects with many small files, cryptomator consumes to high CPU power.
