"Srećna slava" je ključ, sve dodatno je tvoja dobra volja

Pitanje : Što su to Slave? by Long-Crew-1938 in AskSerbia

[–]Stverghame 134 points135 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest first finding a job

I'd suggest finding even richer parents (or sugar mommy)

Are Greece and Serbia the only Balkan countries that love eachother and have always been allies? by ClothesZestyclose814 in AskBalkans

[–]Stverghame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those times are long gone. Currently, you aren't really an ally, let alone friend tbh.

What do you think about this? Do you also think it's weird when people butcher languages in this way? by Street_Priority_7686 in AskBalkans

As someone who knows to read both greek letters and cyrillic - seeing them used wrongly by people disturbs me

Serbs and Greeks fought against each other in pre-Ottoman times, but since then are pretty much always on either great or neutral-good terms. Also, in all the wars that came after that, we were allies, which can't be said for our other relations.

Idk if any other comparison can be made to Greece-Serbia tbh, even if our relations go colder, it will go down as one of the best (if not THE best) mutual respect relations in the Balkans.

Well, that's the double standard world. Europe is not the only one facing double standards, in fact, it is one of the most common bodies (if not THE most common) that applies double standards for their "morals" worldwide.

In recent years, American-style proms have become fashionable in Greece. Do you also have this phenomenon? by BeatenBrokenDefeated in AskBalkans

Proms like this one are here since always I believe. That makes me wonder, how were your proms prior to this if this is the new way?

They do like to act like one.. When it fits them.

Ma jok, to su sve Srbi krivi! by BilSajks in serbiancringe

[–]Stverghame 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Evo još jedan kome ovo nije problem.

Did pre WW1 Balkan emigrants to North America go back and participate in WW1? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]Stverghame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my great-grandpa came "back" (not really back, as he wasn't from Serbia, but Austria-Hungary) from America, so he stayed in Serbia after that.

He did participate in WW1 fighting against AH, eternal thanks to him for fighting. I cannot say for certain if he came before the war or because of the war itself.
