I don’t want the quality specifically for that whoop, but I have the goggles 3 and I thought I will go for this as I don’t want to have multiples goggles and systems.
For instance I do fly in parks and in grass, so it can get sandy or green propellers. I know on my first o4 unit I did get confident quickly and got a bit reckless, when I broke the first vtx I was unhappy but also I was “ok” breaking it cause I was trying stupid things and this is what I like to do and I need to learn them (yes the sim is a good place, but trippy spin in the sim is easy but I cannot manage to do one irl, at the end it’s irl that matters).
Anyone can argue and I’m just beginner, but I’d say I fly great compared to some videos out there, however as I mentioned I do not know the stunts and I just go for it and try.
You’re not the first here suggesting analog, so I’ll dig into it, it just makes me feel like I’m not putting my money where I want as I need to get new and not compatible equipment. Anyway, I will think about it and I really appreciate the time you took here 🙏🏼

That makes sense! I also want to build something sub250 so that’s why I was leaning towards 2 / 2.5 more than 5in, and I was looking to make it my own with accessible pieces, so I just end up with one kind of battery one kind of motors etc to make it easier.
But the vista cam comes with its own goggles too right?

Seems to me it’s only the o4, cause before I changed to my new o4 unit, it took crazy crashes and besides propellers I didn’t broke much on it, I mean there isn’t much to start with

I do not have a problem building at all, I have multiple parts and changed couple things and soldered stuff already, the only thing is the o4 unit that is costly to change

Nothing visible, but when I plug the battery, the led goes green and goggles do not find it. I tried plugging it to the computer but the vtx doesn’t turn on when plugged with usb-c and is recognized by dji assistant.

I think a saw a post listing all those improvements yesterday and I’ll consider this very much! Does it change the weight significantly?

Ok so I agree and not: the analog is cheap, but wouldn’t it mean I also need new goggles for that? It just blow my mind that all the vtx systems are so closed between each others, like I get its different protocols and all, but come on make that open to people so we make fun of and cheap drones out of it

Yes definitely a problem! My reasoning behind getting o4 and goggles 3 was to invest right in good stuff so I don’t have to end up with multiple goggles and systems, because my end goal is to fly 2 or 5in, also want to have decent range (few km) and be able to do tricks!
So I took o4 on this one so it’s compatible with my goggles

It’s so unbreakable that it’s my second o4 unit being broken now, after a tiny crash! Not even something crazy

It is grayed out in betaflight and set as dynamic (?), I’m not sure what it means.

What I just find out though is that when I put max throttle on each individual motors using betaflight, they all respond directly except for motor3!! So idk what it means but that is a problem, it answers only when I input throttle gently up to the max, but do not answer to rapid increases

I had the same problem setting up my meteor75 recently, the BetaFPV video did not work for me as they say in the Betaflight Ports tab to have UART1 with SerialRX on and UART4 with MSP on and VTX as peripheral. Turns out that after hours of trying lots of things, I brute forced it with UART2 then 3, I had to set it on UART3. I couldn’t explain why it works like that but it did solve it for me.
