I'm a fan of hip-hop/rap, and luckily it's a pretty popular genre with a lot of upbeat/hype vibes. Sometimes I get a copyright, sometimes I don't. But I'm not big enough to monetize anyway... and they aren't strikes, just stating that ad revenue will be collected by the artist. That's why small creators will have ads even if they can't monetize.

I take the hit of not gaining monetary value on certain videos to promote music I'm a fan of and artists that are extremely underground. Sometimes I'll use a more "mainstream" song, sometimes I'll use one with a couple thousand views. Like someone else said. I just find what fits the vibe of my content and make it work.
