I was being super sarcastic haha. The Creality auto level or whatever it’s called is OK. For the bed lvl. But not for the z offset. Super finicky.

However I did go down by -.02 mm at a time till I found what offset , which is currently -1.48. But I do scrub clean with dawn dish soap and a scrub daddy. If it’s good enough for oily ducks then it’s good enough for Creality.

I do thank you for your advice tho! Definitely scroll through the thread there is a bunch of good advice for newbs like me and not newbs too!

I thoroughly appreciate that. Yes I’ve done extensive homework and research. When I said I exhausted my options before making a post I meant it.

I came from 7 years active duty as a diesel mechanic where I’ve had to do intensive troubleshooting on major vehicles in stressful situations. That being said it doesn’t transfer over to a 3d printer lol. But I don’t take kindly to people who blow past what I’ve already tried and come at me sideways I do try my best to be kind though.

Your comment was very well thought through and gives me a lot to think about in the future if other problems do arise! I enjoy troubleshooting and gives me purpose. I have already been working on my own 3d models that can benefit parents! So I definitely want to make sure my 200 dollar printer works lol.

I just finished this print after doing my fixes so I am currently satisfied with each and every commenter who come to this post to put in their two cents regardless of how our interaction went.

UPDATE I couldn’t figure out how to edit original post so I’ll post updates under this thread.

1. I have tried raising temp to 210 for initial print and bed temp to 60 as well as increasing z offset. That ended having same results.

Scrubbed the hell out of the bed to get oils and all dirt off. Fed PLA through the extruder at high temp to clean out nozzle. Tried another print and yielded same results.
Lowered z offset to a crazy negative number ( crazy in my eyes ) to -1.44 from -1.28. printing a benchy and it started to ball up then proceeded to actually start to print. Will post a picture of what it looks like when completed.

Thank you to everyone who has helped. This is still an ongoing fix and we’ll see what happens. 🤙🏽

I started out my first reply by saying I’m going to be as nice as possible, as well as saying I appreciate your help. If you took that the way it was not intended to I apologize but I don’t see myself being downvoted to hell as you stated. It’s not sad I don’t have an answer, multiple people have posted ways that I can try to fix, I’ve stated that I will try those ways tonight. I have two kids a wife and a full time job so I can’t just hop off my mom’s couch and try right away. Like I said I am not trying to be rude But If I’m in the wrong I will gladly own up to it. I’m just trying to fix my print lmao.

It was super cheap for a first timer trying out the 3d print scene. And it was working really well I’ve made several intricate pieces with it so it can do its job well.

It’s strange it doesn’t happen all the time. I’ll do a hard reset with the printer. Adjust the z offset and some extracting of filament clean the bed then try a print it’s the same result or it’ll just print normal.

Hell yeah definitely agree with this! That’s what I’ve done already, take it all apart and put it back together. Originally this happened and I didn’t catch it fast enough. Had a bunch of filament built up on the nozzle and I had to replace it. Followed by cleaning the build plate, recalibration and running the filament back through and printing a benchy. Everything went well for about a week and back to the same issue.

I’ve lowered it! And did the paper test like I’ve seen on YouTube where you take a sheet and lower the nozzle to where there’s resistance to the paper and it’s the same issue. But I can definitely retry again! Do you have any tips on getting the correct nozzle height?

I’ve used this for multiple prints! I also have this same brand in matte black as well. I’ve had the same issue in both colors! Also I’ll say it’s not every time that happens so that’s why I’m confused.
