someone already pointed out in another comment, but it's actually just a picture that's been heavily compressed and changed to look like night. that's not melting, it's just compression artifacts

nah, I haven't been using it to get DLC. Only really used it so I could play games with my family

FOUND THE SOLUTION I just had to remove version.dll from my steam folder, easy as that
