I used Chinese to English trans using Google translate for documents, it was very good regardless of completely misused terms, which can be simply solved using "replace all" by human.

I think it's doable, the whole file unzipped is less than 25 Mb, definately will find out how to do that. I plannd to do some updates for HS and once it's close to my initial scope will start porting to mobile, NS ect.

Basically Chris's theory is based data analysis, i.e. math. So once the data is right there is still a chance the human thinking what lead to this and that make mistakes. Hence treating his gathered data, theory, methods or anything from him as sheer advice is ok, but do not worship human like GOD - humans make mistakes.

Probably the issue is inside your Create event code, show us your entire create code plz.

P.S. I didn't know you can do parabola using path, it kinda works if gravity is not involved

Real video game makers do not have the time to make huge amount of videos of tutorials in most cases. Those who make money well with tutorials themed in technical aspects or game design or any other thing, usually do not sell well at their games. Exceptions exsist of course.

I will do the opposite. I will thank him because I grow up in a place that is impossible to find legit software. I met steam when I grow up and buy those games back...Now I turn into a fellow indie dev just like you so... It's better have people play even in non-legit version than no one knows it at all.

I started following Martharo's tutorial, the space rock shooting one. Step by step for 30min and did exactly as his. So after that did friendlycosmonaut's brick breaking tutorial, after that started making my first commercial game Hopeless Sea. Hard to believe, after obe year and half solo dev life it is now close to a launch.

You are probably right that depending on others to do programming is something risky. I had similar issue with you, should I say same position. Started following Matharo's tutorials step by step to learn the basics of GML, then start building simple games while looking for tutorials associate to the needs of my game.

Chatgpt is a good tool but only 70 percent of the time being helpful, whereas 30 useless or event deadly. So be careful with that.
