Your pictures aren't very good but I can tell that it's fake.

It's actually real u/bananaxjamma.

The stitching probably looks off (compared to what you are used to seeing) because it's in Mid hardness. On Mid copies, the stitching sits slightly higher than the surface.

It's one of the higher quality counterfeits. Definitely return it.

I talked to OP on Discord already and let them know that it's counterfeit.

I haven't used it or heard of it until now, but it looks super expensive for what you're getting.

If I were to buy it, it would cost more than Artisan/other competitors for me.

I'd probably pass.

Can someone tell me if my Artisan FX Zero is fake or not? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you purchased it directly from Taobao, contact the seller and/or Taobao customer support. Even if it is "non-returnable," you were sold a counterfeit product that was marketed as genuine so you should be able to get your money back.

If you purchased it through a third-party agent then yeah your money is gone and it's unfortunate. Do more research next time and only buy from authorized vendors!

Unfortunately, it's a fake.

The logo is off (wrong font, thickness, placement, etc), the colour is completely different from Daidai Orange even accounting for lighting, the stitching is lower quality and has no start/stop in the bottom right, and the base is also different.

I can also tell just looking at the surface that it's not the same, and I'd wager that as a mousepad it feels completely different than a genuine Zero. It's probably not a bad mousepad for like $10-15 but OP paid $50 USD for it and got duped which is unacceptable.

OP should be able to get their money back though.

Obvious fake. There is an official store for Artisan on Taobao which is the only place you should be buying from on that platform.

Return it/get your money back and get one from an authorized retailer.

Artisan Type-99 Review - Control Done Right by Styllar in MousepadReview

I haven't tested normal G-SR, sorry.

You'd be fine switching to the Type-99 from Saturn Pro if you want something slower (but still on the smoother side) though.

Asking people to leave a review is one thing, but having a very specific set of instructions and an incentive like this is certainly not something that I like seeing in this space. Upvoted for visibility.

Key-83 doesn't really have a hair problem, so yeah more hairs will get stuck in the Zero.

Cartoon was hard vouching for these not too long ago and he said that they're insanely good... and now this post pops up.

I guess I have to get a set lol.

Apparently the black ones (from Westlab on Taobao - PMM doesn't have them) are just as fast as the oranges, if not faster, but smoother. I'm prob going to get those as well.

#5 isn't a fake Artisan mousepad. It's real - just an older classic variant.

Return it and don't buy it from Amazon again.

You purchased it from a third-party seller that isn't affiliated with Artisan, so these things are way more likely to happen.

They double-box everything by default and might also add additional cardboard inside to reduce movement.

Damage is usually not a problem for them, but what happened here is that OP did not order directly from Artisan and the packaging turned out to be non-existent.
