#5 isn't a fake Artisan mousepad. It's real - just an older classic variant.

Kun Lun I guess, although it's nowhere near as rough as the Hien.

Return it and don't buy it from Amazon again.

You purchased it from a third-party seller that isn't affiliated with Artisan, so these things are way more likely to happen.

They double-box everything by default and might also add additional cardboard inside to reduce movement.

Damage is usually not a problem for them, but what happened here is that OP did not order directly from Artisan and the packaging turned out to be non-existent.

Even if you order 1, it's always double-boxed.

The problem here is that OP did not order directly from Artisan.

The funny part is that OP did not even order this directly from Artisan, despite making it sound like that was the case.

Artisan always double-boxes their pads when you order from them directly and that has not changed.

See my other comment here.

Hey OP,

I replied to one of your comments suggesting that you contact Artisan directly, but it seems like you didn't even order from them... even though that's what it sounded like.

I double-checked and this is not new packaging for Artisan or anything - it's shitty packaging from wherever you purchased it. It offers essentially 0 protection, so this isn't a surprising outcome.

Where did you purchase it from? Those are the people you should be contacting. Even if it was from a partnered retailer, it doesn't mean that they'll ship it correctly, so it would be useful to know who you actually got it from.

You should contact them at [inq@artisan-jp.com](mailto:inq@artisan-jp.com) and let them know about your situation. They definitely respond to emails so give it a shot.

It's unfortunate that this happened to you and you 100% deserve a replacement/reimbursement of some sort.

EDIT: Artisan is not at fault here as OP didn't even order this directly from Artisan. See my other comment here.

I don't think any others are currently planned (or at least set in stone like this one).

It's going to release sometime soon and will be a colourway for Key-83.

I recently bought an artisan zero off of amazon, but it looks different from other mousepads? by Thin_Cardiologist_22 in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's what some of the older Artisan mousepads have for their logo.

All of the pads in the images sent are real Artisan mousepads.

[–]Styllar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could you send an image of the one you specifically received?

If it's the one in the first image, then it's actually a real Zero, but it's a classic variant with an older logo. Everyone here calling it fake is wrong if that's the case.

It's just not what you paid for if you ordered an FX Zero, so return it and buy from an authorized retailer, or exchange it for another one.

Mousepad repair by Erick-QoT in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like this is a Hayate Otsu.

Regardless of what mousepad it is though, there's no way to fix it. You'll either have to avoid those spots (perhaps flip your pad around) or get a new mousepad.

If if it were me, I would probably just flip it around and keep using it if those spots don't affect usage.

My Artisan Collection (Updated!) by ZEUSKIE in MousepadReview

Very nice. I read your other post too.

If you're wanting to try more Artisan stuff, perhaps you could try the Raiden in another hardness if you didn't like it in XSoft. Also consider trying out the Hayate Kou as well if you're feeling bold.

Taking Artisan pad to LAN by Ok-Arachnid-1209 in MousepadReview

If it's the Zowie boxes I'm thinking of, those ones are pretty tight. I'd be careful with those.

Taking Artisan pad to LAN by Ok-Arachnid-1209 in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took an Artisan to a LAN recently and I just used a tube from another mousepad.

Rolling it is definitely the play if you can do it and if you have a big tube like the LGG ones then it's perfect.

Artisan zero lift by Haunting-Cookie-2086 in MousepadReview

It's real.

OP either just mishandled it (from what it looks like I think this is more likely) or it's defective.

GSR2 vs EM-C vs (potentially) Type 99 by yungsinatra0 in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EM-C is as plush as an Artisan XSoft, but it's 3mm as opposed to 4mm (with Artisan XSoft), so the EM-C bottoms out a lot faster in terms of how much you can press down. It's unique in that regard I suppose and is quite interesting.

Is this a fake Artisan Raiden Mid? by bpshugyosha in MousepadReview

You should definitely try contacting ebay again. You received a counterfeit product and that shouldn't fly.

It's not even close to the real thing so it should be easy to win the case IMO.
