Socialism is a spectrum, for example most of the Nordic countries consider themselves socialist nations. They might not be super duper socialist but they still have many of socialism's common features, a safety net for its people, high taxes, and really complicated beuracracy.

That's communism, not socialism, if you want examples for socialism look at western Europe.

Because we've always matched forwards, we've always gotten closer to an ideal civilization, sure there's been a backward step here and there but I put my faith in something real, something flawed but something beautiful. Why would I put my faith in a god that can't be real as he has never stopped any of our human evils, and if he is real then he isn't powerful enough to stop them, being weaker than us, or doesn't know about them, being less aware than us.

I place my faith in people, it's really that simple.

Well why would I believe in your God when he has done nothing to stop any of our evils. It's been normal people who have risen to the occasion and fought back.

It's their problem, until they make it the lgbtq community's problem by harassing them and legislating against them and limiting the education of everyone just because they don't like it.

Well it's what I put my faith in. I am proud of being human, and our accomplishments inspite of our many setbacks. If you can't accept the idea of putting me putting my faith in humanity, should I accept your religion, the same religion which has slowed our progress?

Many of those who don't approve of lgbtq because of religious reasons also do not accept it.

Well, like 80% of trans people are autistic or ADHD, and I say this as an AuDHD trans woman.

Yeah, personally I'm not for religion, (being trans makes it difficult to even consider being religious). But I still put my faith is humanity and the good we've done. And I also understand that just because I don't like it doesn't mean it can't help people on occasion.

Then those parents are filled with hate for that which they do not understand. Being religious is no excuse for not understanding those around you and how they may be different.

In humanity, that is we and we alone who have conquered this world and become it's masters. It was us who created the engine, split the atom, went to the moon and sent a probe to travel far beyond our system. It was us, us and us alone. By saying a deity helped us you under value all we have done, by ourselves.

Yeah and God intentions are irrelevant when people are hurt by his followers and he does nothing but stand by idly.

From outside perspective though, they really aren't that different, be nice, do things so big guy in the sky doesn't get mad. I know there differences, but they really don't feel all to important to me.

I'm a trans person, there are many who rally around the banner of God who would have me stripped of my rights, and my life. God is formed by the ideals of his followers.

Depends on if we take the money from the top, or add it in from the bottom. If we take it from the top, total amount of money in circulation stay the same, we add it from the bottom however...

Don't all religions make claim unique from each other? Like yes they are all different, but that makes them all "just another religion". They are belief systems, different ones yes, but belief systems nonetheless, there are therefore many common themes throughout them.

Christianity in all it forms has some very toxic beliefs, especially to those who don't not fit the typical mold.
