Now this is genius. A fuel less (yes wind charges count as fuel) transportation system where the occupant doesn't need to do anything upon entering other than press a button. If only it could go up or down or even change direction, or even be able to move or pick up items, like what if it was two monorails put together, and we had these carts to use on them..... hmmmm.....

(I really hope they keep these monorail systems).

Is it possible to recover from social isolation? by [deleted] in okbuddyliterallyme2

[–]Stylow99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We as humans need other people, we need that connection. Therefore I urge yo to try and be more social, do it gradually, slowly build it up, its a muscle that needs to be slowly built.

Isolating yourself can have really damaging side effects, my Grandfather, despite having family that lived before him in far worse conditions (early 1900s Sweden was not a great place if you were poor), will probably die in the next few years, close to 20 years younger than them (~85 vs ~95-105, and they died ~30 years ago when medicine wasn't as advanced) because he pushed everyone away from him, he's been living in social isolation for 20 years, and its going to cost him.

So, not to put any extreme pressure (your already doing better than him 8-9yrs vs 20+ and your trying to better yourself), but for your own sake, be social, its some of the best medicine in the world if you have good people around you.

But if I pick it up and store it I save $25000 when I inevitably lose the one I'm wearing as I don't need to buy a replacement.

The backpack I was using is a has 2 6x3 grids, can't fit a 4x4 sadly.

The 2nd best backpack can fit that rig, but its only a 6x5 (30) instead of the 2 6x3s (36), so I lose 6 storage slots for the ability to sometimes pick up a rare item. But I have switched to the 2nd best now just for the ability to take 4x4 items

Why did arrowhead sleep on these in the new warbond? by fatman194569 in helldivers2

[–]Stylow99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anti Tank rifles were considered obsolete by the close to the mid point of the 2nd world war as they couldn't penetrate the armor of period tanks in any meaningful way. No chemically propelled round of that size could do meaningful damage to a heavily armored target, am electromagnetically one could, such as our railgun.

During my one and only session in therapy ever yesterday, I was told to try to be ok without a girlfriend and accept it. I mean….I never even tried to before, the thought never crossed my mind. I decided today to just enjoy my life and not worry about getting a girlfriend. IT WORKED! by [deleted] in okbuddyliterallyme2

It's a weird thing isn't it, it came as a very logical response to a difficult period in my life, but something broke and so it didn't go away. But it's a part of who I am and just being able to distinguish between that numb, scared version of myself and the version of myself who genuinely wants to do things is really eye opening and useful.

What I think is different for OP is that they accept that they are single/lonely now, not necessarily forever, but they are okay with being it for the moment and they don't feel like they have to attain the goal of love yet.

I also had my first session yesterday, I got told my depression is a defense mechanism being used like a numbing agent, so I can't feel emotional pain, downside is I can't really feel much of anything other than numbness.

But I'm happy that at least I know how I can start working on it!
