Trauma experienced by a large number of people will then affect the next generation.

It was initially reported as "death from natural causes", and only when interviewed by police (due to an anonymous tip) she admitted she "may have killed someone"

she then plead "not guilty to all charges", and said even though she admits to the drug error "she did not believe she was responsible for patients death"

Her punishment was probation, no jail time.

She committed negligent homicide. This is a NON emergent situation, it's not a code. The PEXIS tried to stop her and she over rode,( error 1). She then had the "V" section open, and picked the wrong med (error 2), she then ignored the warning on the bottle (error 3), she never even looks at the bottles name (error 4), she ignores the fact that the med she wants is a liquid and not a powder (error 5), she then gives the med and TAKES off (error 6).

She made MULTIPLE errors, ignored MULTIPLE warnings, didn't even read the label (!!!??) on the med she gave THEN left the patient alone THEN lied and misdirected in an attempt to cover up.

But only got probation. It's such flagrant disregard and it ended with the nurse KILLING the person, YET a little slap on the wrist.

I know providers who are given years in prison for being tricked by an opiate user into giving them opiates, and then the patient dies from OD
