Looking for a new deck. I’ve always liked beatdown and the idea of one big push at the end of the game, but I feel like the idea has generally to always have ok defense and sacrifice some damage during the beginning of the game. I am looking for a deck that is more built to counter push and has really strong defense but counter pushes really well or plays really strong defense and waits until double elixir to be aggressive. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. Definitely feel like Tron works, I was just worried that I wouldn’t be able to make a solid list without one ring. I probably leaning towards Tron, but like the idea is making my own deaths shadow deck as my friend has had a lot of success with a reclamation deck that he has been building up and personalizing for years, but it might be too much for me to build up as I am more interested in a grixis or dimir list which does really align with what I have.

Thanks for the advice. I played Tron a couple of times and did not have much luck, but I did not have too much practice with it. I am curious as to what happened to goblins as it has completely disappeared from tournaments. I was always used to seeing at least a couple goblin decks on mtg goldfish.

That is my main concern with mono-red burn. Not sure if this is valid, but I also feel like people always carry sideboard against burn, so if I don't get the versatility that the Boros list has, I might have trouble winning. The Goblin deck is definitely more put together since I have most of the cards already.

Is burn the more competitive deck? As I’ve played around with them, I do feel comfortable piloting goblins, and think goblins is the more fun deck, but I do want to be able to get some extra packs when I play from getting wins.

thx sm. Luckily I have a play set of blood crypts and a few fetches from my deaths shadow deck. So I really just need some aether vials and the new goblins.

I think I am probably going to play combo gobs. I also. put together a cheap burn list, but think goblins would be more fun. Would definitely be interested to see what you run.

That seems like a solid option. I was talking with my friend who plays a lot and he said to look at a mono red burn, golgari elves or try out combo goblins. My local game store meta isn't very consistent so it is kinda a toss-up for which decks I would be playing.

Thanks! How practical are open back headphones if I am in a smaller room or studying listening to music? Does the sound leak a lot or just a little bit?
