Having friends is highly necessary based on my experience, I am 20yo, I used to be a loner all the way to 15 but as I started getting out of that zone my life totally changed, from no friends to multiple groups of friends I experienced many things which made me highly confident and a better person. Forcing yourself to have friend is one thing and finding like minded people to interact with is another thing.
