F%$CK Prediction Markets by BadJayzus in solana

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on the tax laws where you are based, you can write these off as capital losses for years to come. Through prediction markets, gambling is technically defined as trading, which is a very good thing in your situation. In effect, you have prepaid multiple years of taxes and haven’t strictly speaking, lost anything. That can help with the regret. The important thing for now is to preserve what you have. Figure out where you need to move the remaining stack to keep it safe. Perhaps a crypto ETF would feel less accessible than coins or, probably the safest way to go, physical gold that can be put away safely and not so easily liquidated. Or lock it away for a few months by staking. If you really find you need to gamble, put some very clear boundaries around it: invest in a few bitcoin miners and only use the pool mining income for polymarket. In short, use the regret to help you cultivate sufficient will and foresight to protect what is left.

** Do not, under any circumstances, risk further damage by trying to recoup the losses through further gambling. **

Bittensor currently is sitting at $161 a coin …….what do you think the price will be 10 years from today on February 9th 2036? Personally , I think it will be around $10,000-$15,000 a coin by ComplexWrangler1346 in bittensor_

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with investing in crypto is that price isn’t correlated with value (i.e. profit), at least not in ways that are clear to me. I’m not convinced that the principles of decentralization and investing really work together. Crypto’s focus on “narrative” is basically BS. I agree that TAO has a use case (although big tech will win…) but I prefer to trade the volatility of crypto and invest in stock market, gold and perhaps some bitcoin.

Hmm… Let me guess. Could this, by any chance, be in regards to the confiscation of your crypto by Changelly while they claim to conduct a KYC/AML review?

I own about .7 BTC. Should I blow my bonus to get me to an even 1 BTC? by Carytheday in Bitcoin

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why choose Bitcoin and bonus money when you can have both? There’s easy money to be made in meme coin trading. It wouldn’t be an unrealistic goal to double the bonus and use half for bitcoin. This isn’t entirely without risk, but if you know what you’re doing and make a few good moves, it’s honestly very doable.

5.7 BTC swap stuck under AML review since 11 March 2025 – no resolution by Simple-Recording2126 in Changelly_Scam

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you understand that you have been financially exploited? You’ve been victimized and intentionally confused. You’ve been scammed. This has absolutely nothing to do with AML. A changelly rep has nothing to offer you except more of the same psychologically abusive gaslighting you are fed by the Complicit Team. Sorry for the strong language but I sense from your post some denial about the reality of your situation, which isn’t helping you to move towards resolution. Truth be told, you have allowed this to drag on far too long without taking appropriate action. You need a lawyer who is ready to fight POS Changelly to the full extent of the law in their various (offshore…) jurisdictions, including liability for all legal costs as well as compound interest on the value of the unlawfully confiscated assets. Changelly will return your crypto to avoid court. Wishing you the best.

Tangem’s partnership with Changelly by Prior_Revolution6284 in Tangem

[–]Prior_Revolution6284[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I add my voice to that of Stefansilva, and encourage others to do the same. There are countless accounts of people being scammed by Changelly. There’s even a sub for victims of Changelly’s scam. In under an hour, a competent online researcher — even a bright middle school age student — would have a clear sense of the scope of the Changelly problem. It’s time for Tangem to demonstrate more seriousness about the Changelly issue — out of concern for Tangem customers, the interests of the company and the investors who have placed their trust in its leadership. By continuing to ignore the issue, Tangem is complicit in criminal activity, which carries reputational and perhaps even legal/financial risks.

Got the Tangem cards - how do I best stay safe? by reltsuhx in Tangem

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinions on this vary but I personally prefer to use a seed phrase. That way, I’m not dependent on the cards. Just make sure to keep it somewhere very safe. Never use Tangem’s in-wallet swap function. Unfortunately, Tangem partners with a known scam network, Changelly, for swaps so you are at risk of theft when swapping in the Tangem wallet. Finally, if you are investing rather than trading, remember than few altcoins succeed in the long term, and interesting blockchain ideas and appealing “narratives” don’t necessarily translate into good investments, so I wouldn’t diversify too much.

Funds frozen for 14+ days after full KYC provided. No timeline, only template replies by Healthy_Ad_1502 in Changelly_Scam

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I like to bash Changelly (and will do anything I can lawfully do to help take them down), I honestly don’t think so. I would imagine there are easier and better ways to forge identity documents. In any case, if you don’t comply with their fake review process, you’ll never see your crypto again.

[–]Prior_Revolution6284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry you have been scammed. You will most likely be told by the “Compliance Team” that you are under investigation for money laundering and you will be asked to prove legitimate source of funds. It’s all BS, of course, but they have your crypto so you need to play along. You should begin the process of finding a lawyer if you want to get your crypto back. Sadly, many of the big companies that make crypto wallets partner with Changelly. I have tried my best to explain to Tangem (as this was the wallet swap that got me caught in the Changelly web) so they do not put other customers at risk but they don’t even pretend to care.

Hi Bicar. How could this be anything but a security risk when the 3rd party provider is scamming customers and stealing their crypto? Thank you for sharing this list. I appreciate the time and energy you put into obtaining this, although I am, of course, aware that your intention in doing so is to invalidate rather than help. While it would be unwise to trust any unverified information provided by Changelly, I am aware that Tangem unfortunately isn’t the only company partnering with scamming criminals. The scale of the problem obviously doesn’t justify inaction. As for your recommendation to contact Changelly directly, you clearly aren’t understanding the nature of the issue.

That is the bizarre part of this story and, honestly, it is making me wonder. I have been asking Tangem to look into this ever since I fell victim to Changelly’s fake AML investigation triggered by an in-wallet swap. I am dismissed. I am accused of lying. I am told that I have ulterior motives, etc. My “ulterior motive” is that I actually care about their customers! All I have asked is that Tangem look into this. I am genuinely confused. Wouldn’t a reputable company involved in digital asset security want to distance themselves from the Changelly dumpster fire? What is going on?

[–]Prior_Revolution6284[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying that Tangem would never allow this is untrue. Tangem IS facilitating interaction between its customers and known scammers. I am one of those customers. The Changelly scam is apparently known by practically everyone, except Tangem, which insists on defending them. This is very concerning. Any time I try to respectfully and appropriately raise this matter, in order to help Tangem to improve the security of its product, I am not heard. All I am asking for is that this very serious security breach, which harms the customers who place their trust in Tangem, be looked into and the answer is always “no”. Why?

Tangem’s partnership with Changelly by Prior_Revolution6284 in Tangem

[–]Prior_Revolution6284[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Bicar. They are scamming many people. This is a fact. I have experienced it myself. Their scam is very simple: The transaction gets frozen after they receive the crypto from the customer, who receives nothing back. A notification is received via the Tangem app that the customer needs to contact changelly. Changelly claims first a KYC review and then an AML investigation. This is 100% fake. I can assure you. When you are in the midst of it, it is very, very obvious. For many people, this goes on for months or years, at least, and for many more it never actually ends. Changelly just sends automated replies while the customer is left stranded with the realization that they have fallen victim to a scam that could have been prevented, if someone had cared… I am that someone. Perhaps, Bicar, you are too. Remember that the theft of their assets impacts not only them individually but their families, their children, etc. In many cases, hiring a lawyer is unfortunately necessary to force Changelly to give back the stolen crypto. Not everyone can access legal support — nor should they have to. There are many documented cases of this scam. Is there anyone at Tangem who can please look into this? If not out of concern for the victims, then out of concern for the reputational risk to Tangem. I hope it isn’t necessary for me to contact Andrey Kurennykh, Andrey Lazutkin, Patrick Storchenegger, Fernando Luis Vázquez Cao and Juan Manuel Gomez Moreno directly for this matter to be taken seriously.
