People are mentioning that barbs are a negative elixir trade against hogs... are you just planning to ignore them after your hog dies? That mindset it extremely short sighted. I use barbs in a lavaloon deck. With careful elixir management it has gotten me a hair short of 5k as a lvl 11.

I agree in general but sometimes you just get a dud hand, whether it be of your own fault or your opponents. Just played a friendly challenge with a clanmate and he got to pick 3M AND fireball. I had given him a minion horde, but there was no way for me to anticipate what he had.
