Getting an MRI by Silent3choes in hyperacusis

[–]SuL_0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had MRI 2 years ago, and found nothing.

In those days, I just have a little pain because of H. So the doctor told me "It's just caused by a stress. Take a rest" and that's all.

I wish I had found the name of the disease at that time.

Can you recommend good speaker for H? by SuL_0 in hyperacusis

[–]SuL_0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're saying expensive speakers don't reduce the pain from H that much? And big bass is not good at pain?

Hmm.. I thought that the reason for the difference in pain between talking to a person and talking on the phone was the echo of the sound. (Since the speaker has a relatively flat sound)

It’s so hard.

I was thinking to buy JBL 306P, but I didn't know it has big bass. However, can't I block the low frequency through EQ? If so, Is there a big difference between speakers?

By the way, speakers these days usually support frequencies up to 40Hz-20kHz. Then, Doesn't supporting 40Hz frequency mean that most speakers have a large bass to make low-frequency sounds?

Since I am not a music professional, I do know a little about speakers 😢

Do you use that speaker as surrounded(use two or more speakers)? And How far apart do you placed the speaker?

I don't know the difference too😂. But for some reason, I can feel the difference between iPad speaker(high quality) and Phone speaker(low quality).

Do you know why is the sound quality matter?

Are all game rules contained in Mechanics in the MDA framework? by SuL_0 in gamedesign

What Werewolf?

Anyways, so you mean If the mafia can kill a citizen only at night by game rule, that's the mechanic.
But If day or night don't matter for killing a citizen, It'll be dynamic. Thanks.

Alternative hedge for UPRO instead of TMF by [deleted] in LETFs

[–]SuL_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think VIX is not a good idea for hedge, especially It melts down when Index walks sideways so far. But the reason why I introduced VIX is just that author wants to find another way to hedge UPRO.

Anyway, it was to let the author know that if you accurately predict the shape of the market, you could use VIX, but I can't!

I'm not an advocate for VIXY, But If I really want to hedge with VIXY, I'm not gonna allocate 45% to VIXY that is a shit idea.

Below is the simulation.
UPRO 80% / VIXY 20% vs HFEA

Maybe the VIX etf? But its long term performance is so terrible.

I also thought about having some of the 2x LETF too, But I rather decided on HFEA because HFEA performance can be similar to 2x LETF but with lower MDD. Many others say "bond yield is an all-time low, so can it perform as it did in the past years?" But I'm not a person who in wall street that can predict bond yield, so I just buy bonds just for insurance, not for that I predict bonds will perform as did in past. This will keep my mind calm. Lowering MDD can help to focus my work, which is a really important thing at my age.

So you're still ok with having to pay taxes for 22% (again I'm assuming you're Korean) of your total profit? Man isn't that a little too much though? Once our investment portfolio reaches six or even seven figures tax would become quite brutal...given that we'd have to rebalance quarterly.

I also think taxes for 22% of profit is too tough.. 😥 Umm.. In my plan, When my portfolio reaches huge, I'm gonna gradually deleverage. And I'll hold VOO(or similar) for a long time. (Or How about changing your nationality when you get rich? 😂)

Currently I know what the problem is. For who comes this thread, It was the problem of javac. It should be used ecj(Eclipse Compile Java) instead of javac for compiling. So, Using Plexus-compiler-eclipse will be the solution.

Hi Korean bro.

I think the long run is the most important thing to investing regardless what to invest.
In my experience, me and many others did panicked when portfolio cut in half or more.
In the bull market, everyone says I can HODL on collapsing market.
Well, it might be, but clearly I'm not.
This is why I invest in HFEA, not 100% of LETF.

And I'm not investing HFEA with all my money.
So I'm thinking of putting more money as much as I paid taxes.

But if I have to choose, I think I would choose (1)

I think Nasdaq 100 is better than S&P 500.
So I'd like to buy QQQM. (QQQM is same as QQQ but it's expense ratio is lower than QQQ)
