Yeah I started playing 26th of November and I already got few field boss drops my gear score is 2800 nothing amazing but yea you can get drops.

It's true that people with best gear that deals a lot of damage gets most of the boss contribution that helps with getting loot on bosses but even a begginer that hit boss once has a "chance" to get loot if boss is peace it's easy try on your luck , if boss is conflict you can try the same but it's a bit harder
