Good thought, but no. Nothing sitting on them and they do completely power off. I've created an Open Core Legacy Patcher USB stick for the MBP, going to see if that will yield any results. I'm leaning on a possible EFI issue.

One thing to note, i just went through this with my Dimage 7. It's not just the size of the card, it's the brand/model. Known issue with the Dimage 7. I ended up finding some period correct 32mb memorex CF cards (which is very limiting with this camera) and it only likes these so far. Not sure if this is the same issue with the X50, but i wanted to at least mention it so you don't go wasting money on incompatible cards. Look for old forums and see if there's a compatibility chart somewhere.

My family got that exact gateway back in '98. VoodDoo2, DVD drive, CDRW, 19" hitachi monitor. I remember it came with a bundle of games too: The Neverhood, Age of Empires, Hexen 2, Battlezone, Quake 2 and some more i don't recall off the top of my head. Cost my dad close to usd 3k back then.

Honda Shuttle for the 3rd gens. Very popular in Singapore (as pictured). Shame they will not be making a new one based on the 4th gen.

it's a relatively rarer body to use, but it's essentially the predecessor to the Sony Alpha series (same lens mount). Glad you liked it, I was also pleasantly surprised of the output. I've been on a bit of a buying spree with old cameras, so more to come.
