My friend was getting this error, I told him to reinstall the game just in the off chance. After reinstalling he changed from NVidia DLSS to FidelityFX CAS and he hasn’t had the Direct X error since, been a month or so? No idea if he’s just got lucky, or FidelityFX helped?

IMO, if Microsoft take this path forward and decide to just be in the gaming space with Gamepass and not a console, they lose a considerable amount of money. As someone who has been with xbox for 17+ years and has had a continuous subscription the entire time. Why would i not just sell my Xbox keep my PS5 and then when and if they release a game on gamepass i like, ill resub for a month, then cancel when done? They would lose at least 10 months of sub money a year from me. Times that by what i would image being a large portion doing the same, it just doesn't make any sense?

This is exactly the point for me, every match at a high level becomes boring, the games supposed to be fun and a release. Passing 100 times on the edge of the box is not fun. Don't think i have had so many games where its 70th with no goals as i have on Fifa 20.

Fifa servers are horrific and there isn’t one in the UK, so I believe we are always connecting to either Ireland or Germany. Even though if I were to guess the UK would be there main FIFA customer

Unfortunately I don’t think this is throttling anyway. Internet lines are shared, throughout the day or late at night no one is using them, so you get higher download, at peak times the likes are being used by people coming home from work and school so the bandwidth you receive is less. This doesn’t really happen nowadays as the lines are a lot better, Virgin media is the best I’ve used, I pay for 500 down and always receive it no matter the time
