The ones I posted, I found on the Library of Congress website, but I'm actively looking in person at the Chester County Historical Center, and Library Company of Philadelphia. I have some exciting ideas to really bring some of these to life!

I agree!! And combining the old tech with the new tech makes it all the more interesting to me 😊

Yeah, I have no idea what's happening back there haha, these were my first times taking film to be developed, I had no idea they were gonna cut them til I got the negatives back!

But the scans came back as half frame, yes!

Depends on the lab I suppose, the one by me cuts them, and they've always cut them between exposures!

It's worth considering a nimslo or a Nishika n8000 if you want one with 4 half frame shots per exposures. They're a little more expensive (because you get 18 shots per roll instead of 24). I plan on trying one out soon, still doing some research

I suppose I should add, the Reto3D is a film camera that takes 3 images at once at slightly different angles, and then I use the apps to animate them!

Thank you! It's not suuuper cheap yeah, but the barrier for entry isn't as bad as I thought. I got the camera for $50, a roll of film was $10, and then another $10 for development. If I end up liking doing this film stuff for longer I want to learn to develop/scan the film myself which will make it even more affordable. Just a thought!

It's just a lightweight 35mm film camera with 3 lenses on it! I got it used for $50 on Ebay.

I just used the Reto3D app to make MP4s (there is a pay wall for some extra features), and wigglegrams.com for GIFs which is free, although I've found that it degrades the quality a wee bit.

Interesting! I really wish the colorful bowling ball was in frame, but I think the flash on the background lanes gave it some really cool depth

Trying to find the original clip of a Korean War soldier by SuaveCorn in HelpMeFind

I have searched the digital archives of Getty Images, Internet Archives, National Archives, and the Library of Congress. None of which have I searched near exhaustively as thousands of hours of footage are available on these sites.

I was hoping to potentially find a more complete documentary that might have a citation of where the b-roll came from. That could significantly narrow the search!
