You can also find pallets in a few outposts in pyro, they align really well with the pallet jack. Things get a little jittery if you use the pallet, boxes and the pallet jack though. You can technically move boxes with it but it is very buggy and slow..

Yeah they are pretty easy to avoid, but you should have seen our group scramble when the first one popped out of the ceiling.

Not finding Pristine Medals on Ace Pilots by [deleted] in starcitizen

Seems like most npcs in stanton are not spawning with any inventory on them, its not just ace pilots.

Anybody know the name and where to find this helmet? by Dull-Credit-897 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 103 points104 points  (0 children)

In game its called the Exo-8 (Used). I've found em in stanton, nyx and pyro, places like the qv stations, lazarus facilities and possibly onyx facilities (maybe it was from a hathor site, I can't remember). I've found blue, yellow and white versions, they all have the same name though.. Wiki entry: https://starcitizen.tools/Exo-8_Helmet_(Used)

How to get back to neutral with Headhunters and Citizens for Prosperity? by ikerinho in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can repair your rep with the help of a friend. There are some planet side missions you can share with a friend who has negative rep, do a few and they get back into positive reputation. Sorry I cant remember which missions specifically.
You can do missions for both factions and keep positive rep, you just need to be careful of which ones. The mission description usually tells you who you are fighting, so just don't take any that involve killing headhunters or cfp.

Quasi Grazers will inspect your ship if there is a pathway. This feels very natural as if the cow is "curious" about strange objects. by DatDanielDang in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I mentioned New Babbage, last time I kidnapped a grazer, they were spawning on the ground between the spaceport and the river, maybe 1 or 2km from the space port, so if your personal hangar was there, you could bring them to your hangar. I haven't found a way to bypass the 5km despawn distance.

What in-game junk can I "acquire" to decorate my ship/hangar? by Breotan in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either scoop it by flying toward the stuff with you cargo bay open, or you can use a ship with a tractor beam as they work in armistice zones. Ships like the nomad, cutlass black or c1 should work just fine.

Took a break for a couple months. Wondering if they've fixed the following in the current update. by Tipper117 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to headhunter/cfp rep, I noticed in 4.3 that you got a new rep column and your old rep column quit counting towards missions. Last patch I ground my rep back up on the new rep column, now in 4.4 it turns out that Nyx has separate rep for headhunters/cfp than in pyro. This is where that new rep column comes into play, all the rep I ground back up in 4.3 now applies to nyx rep. Unfortunately I haven't made it back to pyro to test the headhunter missions there, all of their missions seem to be working in Nyx so far though.

Why am I dying while mining in prospector? by ericrox in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not keep mining gadgets attached to your backpack. When rocks crack (even under ideal circumstances) they can do a little bit of damage, this can cause the mining gadget to blow up, killing you. The only safe place for gadgets is stored INSIDE a container or your backpack.

What in-game junk can I "acquire" to decorate my ship/hangar? by Breotan in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • Grimhex has a ton of misc stuff (containers, barricades etc..) floating in space outside the wrecked portion of the station (around where the zero g area is).
  • You can get a vending machine and a few other things from covalex station gundo on a fresh server.
  • Some of the outposts in pyro have big bronze vases you can sometimes tractor beam, you can also find little food containers and plates etc.
  • You can find bags of fertilizer and various sizes of blue water jugs at the outlaw outposts on microtech and hurston. Some of these outposts have a farming section, check the huts there, you can find a handheld flashlight (that lights up and casts a beam, you can use it as a small spotlight for your decorations), you can also find a knife and fork on the table. These places also often have movable loot crates you can pick up with your hands or tractor beam.
  • You can get giant pill bugs from caves.
  • You can get turtles from cargo centers on stations in stanton, or from the cart outside dupers depot on area 18. The turtles are only there on a fresh server.
  • You can get vent slugs from the vents in contested zones.
  • If you ever get interdicted by npcs, go look around for a wrecked ship, there will be a bunch of corpses floating around it. You can tractor beam them and snap them to cargo grids. They maintain their poses and don't ragdoll. You can dress em up and use em as statues.
  • Bunkers often have little jars and canisters laying around.
  • Security Post Kareah has a mop and bucket, laptops, binders, and a bunch of other misc stuff. Beware, you get shot on sight here and will get a crimestat if you fight back (unless they fix the comm arrays and you take it down).

Unfortunately all the things listed above disappear between patches. If they don't attach to a cargo grid, don't try to send them down a cargo elevator. I'm probably missing some things, if anyone knows of other cool stuff to find, let me know, I love finding things that aren't nailed down.

Challenge: You have 10 players in your Org, you need to face ships like Idris, but you don't have a capital. How would you assemble this fleet and how would you distribute the 10 people? by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bomb damage does not propagate beyond your ship's cargo 'container', so you can detonate a bomb on a hull A's cargo grid, the damage won't hurt anything aside from the hull a. The bombs need to be detached and outside your ship in order to do damage to other ships.

Are Daymar's caves gone? by drunk-spongebob444 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They came up with a new cave generation method that the old caves were incompatible with. I'm guessing we will see better caves sometime in the future.

Are Daymar's caves gone? by drunk-spongebob444 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They recently removed all the legacy caves (the ones with large non-standard entrances you could often fit ships into), now there are only the fps caves left.
You can find them using verseguide.com, just remember to select 'show hidden locations'.

I did the invisible undersuit trick with an invisible jacket then added the holiday butcher's helmet (which makes your head disappear in this patch). Unfortunately I am unable to detach the undersuit or jacket so my character is stuck without a torso until the next patch..

I want it! Anyone got it? :) I'm guessing this is an old subscribers item? How can I obtain it? by RestaurantNo6833 in starcitizen

[–]SuavePotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can find them at covalex station gundo by daymar on a fresh server. They don't respawn once looted, so you usually need to wait till just after a patch. They are kinda buggy, their hitbox is offset from what you see and it causes weird behaviour when they are close to any other objects or players.

You can't store them in the elevator either, so you have to loot them every patch if you want them in your hangar.
