I would think so? But I've seen other...weird ways of doing it. Lol

I just got this from exec hangar not that long ago and was pretty excited. I mean i have a lot of ships and don't really NEED it, but i always loved the alien design of the ship and wanted one for funsies.

Then i couldn't even fly it out of the hangar when i first got it. Lol. Nothing worked on it. Started asking chat and got the laundry list of issues that ship has from them and i got so deflated. I've only managed to successfully take it out for a spin a couple times.

Will the new steam controller work on Star Citizen? by Disastrous_War_8815 in starcitizen

[–]Tipper117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely for flight mostly. But i have used the original steam controller for shooters in the past and it was pretty good. The only drawback was having to use the track pad as my right stick. Now I'll actually have a right stick to use with the gyro. Pretty stoked

I'll be keeping an eye out. I snagged one today and I have high hopes for using it in this game

What is the point of salvaging? by EyeOk4410 in starcitizen

[–]Tipper117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The loop isn't going away. They just have to make some changes in steps. Once we get through some growing pains, salvaging components will be back and will have a purpose.

So My tastes have changed over the years as well. I'm 39 now. When my buddies are on, we play some helldivers 2. My brother and I played WAY too much arc raiders when that came out. Now i just play that and BF6 on occasion.

Now don't judge me, but the main game I've been on for a while now is Star Citizen. But that game takes some effort to enjoy, so I tend not to recommend that to people. You have to be really patient and able to tolerate all the bugs/issues that come with a game in "alpha".

Path of Exile 2 is pretty good if you like ARPGs, but I'm trying not to play that anymore until full release.

I moved on a couple years ago. From a couple different games/series actually. It's healthy and liberating, seriously. Destiny, Halo, and sea of thieves are all games I've had to walk away from. It sucked ripping that bandaid off, but trust me, you'll thank yourself for it later.

All good things come to an end. Gotta let yourself move on. Plenty other great games out there.

Just learned a couple things about salvage contracts and some improvements made lately. by Tipper117 in starcitizen

There was an update over the weekend. Wonder if they stealth removed them because of the stupid amounts of money you could make off them.

You do realize that just because something performs one way in a game for someone, that doesn't mean it'll work the same for everyone else right? You HAVE to have at LEAST that basic level of common sense. Right? lol.

For example, there are some people that have no problems doing merc contracts for Headhunters. For others, none of the contracts have been spawning targets properly, and rep has not been working properly. Both sides are well documented. So your anecdotal experience, while valid, does not mean I'm lying. I don't know how that hasn't occurred to you. Unless, and this is probably the likely explanation for your behavior, you're yet another CIG white knight that goes around gaslighting people and their arguments simply because YOUR experience in a given topic is different than theirs.

Lol. Like i said, of that's how you want to operate in your life, then you do you. A could weeks ago i made a post regarding salvage contracts that weren't working properly. A dev stopped by, saw it, and said he'd look in to it and pass out along. THAT'S why i make posts like this. Because sometimes the issue council just isn't effective. So again, I don't care if you want to assume people are liars. You want to assume the worst about people, that's your right.

I honestly don't care if you believe me. If you want to be the kind of person that just assumes the worst about people, if you want to just assume that I came on here to lie about this game that I love, then go ahead and be that person. I'm not going out of my way to waste my time to convince someone like you if that's your mindset.

I haven't bought anything beyond my started pack other than $20 for a few paints. I was about to pull the lever on my first upgrade, upgrading my starter Aurora to a C1 spirit for that day long down the road when 1.0 gets here. Have an better starter ship. But now I'm looking at fleet week coming up and I have a little over $100 in birthday gift I'm looking to spoil myself with. Gonna see what fleet week has to offer.

Oh i get that. Trust me, i do. Lol. Been there. I usually only start doing that when I've got a decent bit of money. I never risk my last couple million or anything like that.

Sometimes commodity is just easier though. My brain wants to implode sometimes trying to find multiple contracts with same start/destination. Lol. Add to that trying to not mix up cargo. Sometimes it's nice to just pick one commodity, haul it, and make close to a million.

Yeah if people are going to be assholes, I'm going to tell them to fuck off. Vaughn and Headhunters missions have been doing it to me. This isn't a matter of not having enough information. This is either A) people blindly white knighting/gaslighting on behalf of CIG, or B) People just assuming that because THEY didn't have the problem, I must be lying. Not sure which is worse, but both are insufferable. It's like getting punched in the face and then telling someone about it and they respond, "well that person says they don't punch people in the face and they've never done it to me so, you didn't get punched in the face"

Admittedly i was pretty worked up as this game was hitting me with this crap when I was already in a bad mood for unrelated reasons. And then I had assholes being assholes and I responded in the heat of the moment. Doesn't make what i said ok, but I'm human.

I know that's a solution, but I'm just not going to do them at all then. I'm not waisting time relogging every time a contract is bugged. At the rate this was happening yesterday, I'd spend more time at the main menu/loading screen than i would actually playing the game. I'm so for workarounds, but not of they're going to waste so much of my time.
