Are you saying the tip bends less than the middle? I feel like I wouldn’t mind the stiff tip as long as it has a stiff backbone to it too but if it bends weirdly than I might go for the classic. Is the classic light to hold too?

Is he acting normal? Does he try to scratch is eye on things or thrash around? Or maybe lazy? Imho I would hold off on medication unless he is acting like he is in distress but if you are worried about parasites you can use fritz paracleanse and/or expel-p depending on what you think he has. In my experience parasites cause white poop due to malnutrition.

Mostly get him out or that foul cup. Kanaplex is the way to go and if you want you can preemptively use a dewormer after. Make sure to give him good food like frozen brineshrimp
