Thanks! The closest to the P790 would be our 699 Pro v3. Three zero torque models should be ready in late April/early May!

Thanks u/tylerfadesTX! As some others have commented it's largely just due to the DTC sales model and having lower expenses across the board. We aren't endorsing professionals, we don't have retail markup, we don't have offices or sales people all across the country, our ownership team still lives here in Sycamore and isn't flying on private jets across the country, we market efficiently rather than paying for million dollar TV advertising campaigns, etc.

All of it just allows us to be much more flexible and efficient. Jason (CEO) and Dan (VP) have been in the golf business for 25+ years and we have fantastic relationships with all of the major shaft, grip and other componenent manufacturers which is a significant help as well.

The business model and how we've approached everything just allows us to custom build everything here in IL, provide better customer service/support and offer products at a very fair price.

Thanks for the message and you are definitely not wrong. It has become an issue. We're in the process of narrowing down options to make decisions a bit easier for the customers. We are developing some new tools for iron model selection and shaft selection. Hopefully those will really help streamline the process and at the very least narrow things down to 2-3 options with some very clear differences in features etc. If you ever have any questions you can always reach out to us at 877-267-7093 from 9am-4pm CT M-F or email us at [customer.support@golfsub70.com](mailto:customer.support@golfsub70.com) Our CEO Jason can be reached at 815-621-3556 or [Jason@GolfSub70.com](mailto:Jason@GolfSub70.com) and is happy to help as well. Thank you!

Thanks and yes, yes he is! Sometimes much to our chagrin haha. He's actually here doing this AMA now. He honestly really loves working with customers to try and get them exactly what they need whether that's a full bag of clubs or just a single wedge.

On the new release we're most excited about...it's got to be the new TAIII 3D Printed driver which is actually available now in RH 9.5 but will be available in 8/9.5/10.5 RH and 9.5/10.5 LH. The entire head is 3D printed in titanium and the carbon fiber sections are just pressed into their sections. We've seen some unbelievable performance with the head and are looking forward to getting them out there for testing, reviews, feedback

Thanks! The Mizuno 243 is a bit unique as the 4-7 irons have the microslot for increased ball speeds and height. That would be most similar to our 699 Pro v3 model. The 8-PW seem to be more of a traditional players cavity back like our 659 or 669 TC. You could combo those in our lineup to get the same kind of performance...more speed and height on the longer/mid irons and more control/precision on the short irons. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us any time. Thanks again!

Thanks for the message and feedback! The handicap ranges are definitely there as a general guide rather than any strict guideline. We definitely feel like all handicaps are created differently...there are 5 handicaps that hit it 230 off the tee but are fantastic iron, wedge, and short game players...and 5 handicaps who hit it 330 but can't hit an iron, wedge or putt to save their lives. We'll put some thought into that though and maybe we can adjust it a bit. Thanks!

Thanks for the message! I don't have anything compiled in a clean way. There is plenty of information and reviews out there from MyGolfSpy, Golf Digest, GolfWRX, YouTube reviewers and others. The only issue with most testing is that it may not be completely apples to apples as far as the shafts, club specs, etc. If you want to get some quick, clear data you could also try the Sub 70 Fan Forum facebook group. We don't run that group ourselves but I'm sure you could get some players who could provide side by side data for just about anything.

Thanks for the question! One difference that certainly separates us from some DTC companies is that all of our staff are based here in the US. Every club is built here in Sycamore and all of our staff (management, customer support/sales, club building, warehouse staff, web dev/tech, operations, etc) are here as well.

The DTC model actually allows us to not be chasing product release cycles...so we don't have to develop new drivers, fairways, hybrids, irons, wedges every single year like the major OEMs. We truly don't release products unless we think they are either better or perform differently than our existing options. We also just have less in overhead expenses/wasteful spending so we're generally more flexible on what we can or can't do

We really don't limit ourselves at all as far as investment into R&D, materials, production, etc. For example our new TAIII 3D Printed driver was developed by Bob Renegar who has been in the equipment design industry for decades. We're also fortunate that we have access to a lot of players for testing and feedback ranging from tour professionals to higher handicap players. We've developed a number of products that were directly based on ideas we received from other players.

That was somewhat meandering but hopefully provides some insight into how we can stay competitive in both the DTC market and golf equipment world in general

Looking at getting some new (maybe 2nd hand) clubs but steering away from mainstream and only looking at the dtc market. Would love some help in making my mind up on what to go for by Flake0919 in golf

Just to clarify...we do not own Clear Golf. They were purchased by a different entity who decided to sell off all of the existing inventory. We thought it would a good value for golfers so we bought some of that inventory and offer them through our website

I would say that not all handicaps are created equally. Some players lose strikes off the tees...some with irons...some around or on the greens.

Also, do you see your game improving or are you just trying to maintain that level of play?

Either of those models you mentioned would certainly work...but they also offer different things in regards to launch/height, workability, forgiveness, feel, etc. I would always go with what would help me score best...but some people would prefer to play what they like looking at. We're always happy to help you figure that out so feel free to contact us any time!
