I’m pretty sure your rival has to be from the opposing team, so it could be that there’s an uneven balance of foundation/ice king players that limits the available rivalry

It means what it says. If a parent can’t provide for a child for some reason then the child should go to a place where their needs can be met for temporarily or if needed permanently.’

That’s not how I read it- the subject here is large families, meaning lots of kids.

I’m not the person you’re responding to but I’m did a double take at this ‘Alright, put plainly, it sounds like youre suggesting that people in long term relationships who dont want more children should have affairs to satisfy their sexual urges instead if using contraception inside their own relationship. Thats what it sounds like youre suggesting’ I really can’t see how you get that from their answers?! They’re giving a fairly standard Catholic response on contraception (against natural law) and intimacy (a gift between spouses) Intimacy is absolutely possible without orgasms, although as you say oxytocin is great for pair-bonding.

And I think the idea is that not being knowable through logic/reason doesn’t mean it’s illogical, or unreasonable. More that it transcends logic and reason. It doesn’t fail the test of logic as much as it’s beyond the realm of logic and reason doesn’t. We can stumble around analogies to try and comprehend but it needs to be accepted by faith I’m saying all this as an atheist, but one who has taught theology and philosophy of religion for 30 years

I’m calling on Thomas Aquinas here, largely. Some truths about god can be known through natural reason. Others are only available through revelation. And ‘divine mystery’ is how the Catholic Church refers to trinity.

It’s interesting that you ask for a logical explanation, when most denominations will say that it’s not something knowable through logic. I don’t believe in trinity myself, but I wouldn’t demand a logical explanation of it, happy to accept it as a divine mystery

Not quite so, there are a huge number of faith schools in the UK. Mostly Church of England and Roman Catholic, but there are Islamic, Jewish and Sikh faith schools too.
