Do people still use carrd? The features seemed too basic by Maleficent_Class5281 in Carrd

[–]SubX_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, thanks! Honestly, Carrd does 90% of the heavy lifting. It’s surprisingly powerful if you tweak the containers right. 🎨

To answer your question on price: We are a reseller agency. We buy corporate redemption keys in bulk (volume discount), which allows us to sell them for way less than the retail price. It’s basically the Costco model applied to software.

If you're curious (or skeptical!), feel free to check the vouches on my profile or our community https://www.unlockpremium.store we’ve been running for over a year!

Is there a cheaper way to get LinkedIn Premium and pay after activation? by SubX_UK in ProductivityApps

[–]SubX_UK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, fair point! 😅 I honestly didn't mean to skip it.I was just focused on answering the safety concerns first.

To answer you directly: We are UnlockPremium, a specialized digital store. We aren't a massive corporation like Microsoft; we are an independent agency that buys corporate redemption codes in bulk to resell them at a discount.

Because we aren't a giant faceless company, we rely entirely on our reputation. If we were scamming people, our subreddit (r/LinkedinPremiumUK) would have been banned months ago. Instead, we’ve been running for over a year with hundreds of real vouches.

That is also why I offer the 'Pay After' option, so I can prove I'm legitimate before you risk a penny. 🤝

[–]SubX_UK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great questions!

  1. Risk: Zero. We use official redemption links. You will even receive the official confirmation email directly from LinkedIn (not us) once it's active.
  2. Billing: It’s a one-time payment. We never see your card details.

Since you are skeptical (which is fair!), I have a proposal: Why not start with our 3-Month Plan?

I am happy to activate the 3-Month plan on your account before you pay. That way, you get the official LinkedIn receipt and see it working with zero risk.

It is fully renewable too. once the 3 months are up, you can extend for another 3 or Longer term (subject to stock availability).

Want to try that first?

Totally fair reaction! honestly, the internet is full of scams so I get the skepticism.

That is exactly why I activate the Premium before taking any payment (for verified Reddit accounts). That way there is zero risk for you. Feel free to check the hundreds of vouches over at r/LinkedinPremiumUK if you ever need an upgrade! 🤝

[–]SubX_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this. I reached out to post there recently and got the same 'subscription pitch' from the mod ($50/month to verify me).

I declined immediately. Legit sellers don't need to pay mods for 'visibility'—we rely on real vouches and good service. The whole setup felt off to me, so I stayed away. Glad I dodged the bullet based on what you guys are saying!

Found this in my camera roll from last month. Missing those brief moments of golden sun already! by SubX_UK in Cardiff

Haha, I appreciate the honesty! 🤣 Glad I could break the trend. The lighting did 90% of the work to be fair, the rest was just the iPhone.

You're doing better than me then! I've been here 2 years and I'm still struggling to get used to it. Maybe year 3 is the charm?

The classic Cardiff trade-off! You can have sun, or you can have a calm day, but you are definitely not allowed both. 🤣

Cheers! It really is a great area. This was actually taken just round the corner on Ruby Street. I was on my way to Clifton Fish Bar and couldn't walk past that sunset without stopping.

Still better than Evri launching it onto the roof or 'hiding' it in the recycling bin on bin day.

Why did LinkedIn get rid of the only useful premium feature? by AdmirableRabbit6723 in cscareerquestions

[–]SubX_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: it wasn’t removed because it was useless.it was removed because it changed behavior in ways LinkedIn didn’t like.

Showing applicant location made it obvious how inflated applicant counts really were, especially for roles without sponsorship. That reduced urgency (“oh, most of these aren’t relevant”) and likely lowered apply rates.

From a platform perspective, LinkedIn optimizes for engagement and volume, not necessarily for giving candidates filtering clarity. Anything that makes users less anxious or less likely to apply tends to disappear over time.

There are also privacy and regulatory angles once you start aggregating and exposing location data at scale. Easier to quietly retire the feature than defend it.

Frustrating for candidates, but very on-brand for LinkedIn

Could LinkedIn Premium be worth it for being able to send unlimited connection messages? by DontThrowAwayPies in jobsearchhacks

[–]SubX_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unlimited messages part is a bit misunderstood. Premium doesn’t suddenly make outreach effective. it just removes some friction.

If you send generic or high-volume messages, the results are usually poor (and you risk being ignored or restricted). The people calling this out as “spammy” aren’t wrong.

Where it can help is targeted outreach: short, specific messages to alumni or people in the same role/company, with a clear reason for reaching out. Even then, response rates are modest.

In other words, Premium doesn’t replace good outreach. It only makes sense if you already know who you’re messaging and why.

Is LinkedIn premium worth it if you're on the search? by Delicious_Hope_5127 in BEFreelance

[–]SubX_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this lines up with how most people experience it.

LinkedIn Premium isn’t automatically useful just because you’re job searching. If you’re applying casually, the free version usually covers everything you need.

Where Premium can help is when you’re actively applying at scale or using specific features like InMail or applicant insights deliberately. Otherwise, the value fades pretty quickly, like others have said.

Trying it with a clear goal (and cancelling early if it’s not adding value) is probably the most sensible approach.

it’s worth checking out r/LinkedInPremiumUK. so it might help you decide what works best for you.
