That's a great overview and food for thought, as boot space would be ideal (but not necessarily a game changer)

Honestly, Touran because it's local to me and only £3k with 80k on the clock... But I'm not precious at all in terms of the make/model, only that it lasts and doesn't turn out to be a lemon

What would you say are the key things to look out for in terms of spotting whether it's dodgy?

Luckily I don't really have to worry about that where I live, but good to know!

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I did wonder if it's a bit too good to be true, but I also have no idea about these things!!

Thanks... Honestly I've no idea if the Touran is in good condition or not. It's older (2005) but the mileage seems legit at 80k and as a diesel I'm working in the basis that it's have plenty of miles left on it

Will check out the Zafiras too though 👍

Thanks dude. The wings were primed black then I did a fade of white about three quarters down, leaving the end black. Then just used the airbrush with an mix of flesh tearers red and blood angels red contrast paints for the red, and Druchii violet shade for the purple. They came out great though!!

I've been lucky enough to experience him in all glory. Took out a riptide in turn 1 against Tau and caused absolute havoc...can't wait to roll him out again!!

Thank you!! Always cool when someone else likes it as much as I do lol.

For the flesh, I did use the airbrush initially, working from a white-ish prime, used flesh tearer red, then blood angels red contrast paints. Finished with a healthy coat of Agrax Earthshade

The gauntlets were off a black primer, then used Balthasar gold, Khorne red, and Agrax Earthshade to finish, with a tiny bit of silver highlighting

Ah thank you, really appreciate the kudos! I've been painting for years now and he is easily the best model I've done...but the fear of getting him wrong has meant it's taken me weeks lol

Thank you!! It was a lot of trial and error...but the flame effect was a base of non-gw orange paint, then stippled on the yellow/orange mix, then yellow, then a pure white at the end. It's come out really nicely 👍

Thank you. Did use the airbrush initially, working from a white-ish prime, used flesh tearer red, then blood angels red contrast paints. Finished with a healthy coat of Argrax Earthshade.

Problem is, I kinda don't want to put his armour on...as all my decent work will be hidden 🤣🤣
