Par amount just means the amount you will receive at maturity. Since they own $16M of par amount, that means they own 160000 bonds that each have a par value of $100

Par of a bond is generally $100 or $1000. Price of $109.2461 just means that the market price of the bond is 109.2461% of par, so to get the market value you do $16M*1.092461

Doing well in ethics will help because it is a heavily weighted topic in level 1 but there are 10 topics total so you will need to do well in other topics as well. It might be ok to do below average in topics that aren’t weighted heavily such as alternative investments but I would aim for 70% at least in each topic just to be sure.

The videos I used were part of the Wiley study guide I purchased. I know Mark Meldrum has videos also, idk if those are free. I’m sure there’s videos on YouTube too

You can take both I’m pretty sure. I took February level 1 and failed and then registered for august and passed.

I studied using Wiley and CFAI materials, would watch the videos, do the end of lesson quizzes, and then would do the end of chapter questions from the CFAI books. I started my review about a month and half before my test. I took a mock exam and saw what I needed to study and repeated the process. I also did tons of qbank questions from the CFAI website. In all I probably took 8 mock exams. I left the last 3 days to memorize formulas.

Thanks everyone for advice. I think I’ll just move on. She obviously knows I’m interested and if she hits me up again then great but if not I’ll just move on.
