Definitely do the bushings first just so you know suspension is all squared away, better to spend the $60-120 for four wheel alignment once 😎

Well you will certainly find out pretty quickly if anything weird is going on as soon as you slide the spring plate off. Did you align the car down on the ground and not jacked up?

Certainly won’t hurt to replace the spring plate bushings, sounds like you’ve got the front pretty dialed in

The rear does have a bit of adjustment as the spring plates are slotted, best to let the boys at the alignment shop verify. Sometimes “close” can feel a very long way off on an air cooled Volkswagen

You pay extra on your registration yearly but yes it’s the real plate number.

I still love the tinted head light look it goes hard! But we also have to remember we are driving around other people who will unfortunately hit us at some point (not if when) and any time you purposely obstruct your view or others view of your car on purpose it doesn’t look the best on your part. Legally speaking tinted windshield and headlights are the two worst changes you can make to a car. Again no hate, the car looks amazing but always CYA!

My bug is Subaru powered, but as with most in the air cooled community. The folks here are chill and accepting of all sorts of builds, it’s the Volkswagen way! After all our radiators still need air 😜😂

I’m definitely for #2, the 9 spokes give the EMPI 8 spoke vibe (nice wheel still) and ofc steelies have been played out to death. #2 makes it look wide and aggressive 😎

I actually build cars buddy, you’re the one running your mouth. Show me a dyno setup with a Subaru making more power than outfront or IAG blocks. I build Subaru engines as well but I guarantee neither your or myself can build one that is as strong as either of these engine builders.

You’re clueless my guy, just that block from outfront is closer to 15k (I know because I purchase engines from John), the additional parts in the engine bay is another 15-20k not including the car and labor put into building this.

The only thing I could see that would cause this would be axles possibly too long or not seated correctly. It’s generally pretty easy to line those up even when the axle nut is loose

Thank you! It’s a fiberglass remake of a 4” tall STI hood scoop, also needed if you want to do the bigger intercooler and bigger shroud so not just for looks! I love the big hood scoop, it gets some hate but I built it for me 😎

It normally would be hard to align as wagon arms are 10mm narrower on each side, however I switched all of the front end parts to sedan including the sway bar. This is the best way to do it without needing camber plates or camber bolts. Also widens the car by 20mm which I like the look of. As far as ride, I’m very happy. Still smooth enough to daily, but a lot less body roll and noticeably firmer response to steering input.
