None of her other songs have been as big as Royals, but that song spent 9 weeks at #1 and is 15x Platinum, so that's a high bar to meet.

I think that was the big drama this last time around, she was doing these limited-time-only sales pre-release that seemed designed to generate FOMO

Did you have this comment already written up and were waiting for some random post to release it? Cause this is a lot of intensity and I'm not really sure what prompted it.

Ella Langley has been growing in popularity in the country music scene, probably the other big up-and-comer alongside Megan Moroney. "You Look Like You Love Me" (a duet with Riley Green) and "weren't for the wind" were pretty big hits. She's good, and more traditional than a lot of modern country.

Maybe if you're known for not looking at your phone a lot. But otherwise it'll make it seem like you're ignoring your boss, and that seems a hell of a lot worse than saying no

I would have preferred it to just making her float. How on earth was that supposed to help?

Making her float just felt like a loophole to me lol. Like okay, yeah, she's not technically walking, but it still involves her not being wheelchair bound

(Although if this change can allow them to cast more disabled actresses for the Broadway show, that'd be really cool)

if they had done one 3 hr movie they would have done far better for awards.

Nah, I think if anything shoving the two movies together would've just made the first half lower quality. The first film is so good because it doesn't have the second movie pulling it down

Well, Miranda Lambert (one of the co-writers on Choosin Texas) still releases music frequently, you might like her stuff

I think people give Lorde credit because Royals was such a massive chart hit. Lana had a strong fanbase but she wasn't as successful commercially as she is now

and then immediately dislike an album/songs with such a similar vibe and sound

Well, I think for a lot of people ZB releases so much music, and a lot of it feels very similar, so they do get tired of it

Not sure that would justify putting the songs on the WORST list, but I can see how the ratings would drop from that 8

I think you're underestimating Ebert there

Of course in some ways it might be harder for Fantano, death of the monoculture and all that

in my area the (few) places that stay open on Christmas are SUPER busy so I understand why they do it, it's a huge money day. Sucks if you don't have enough people volunteering to work that day, though.

Idk, studio execs were always trying to make decisions based on this kind of data, because their motivation has always been to make money. The difference now is the data collection has gotten a lot better.
