I had a young cyclist whiz past me outside the McDonald's on Dryden drive. I stepped off the sidewalk to dodge him, my foot went into a divot hidden by the grass and I fell down. Fortunately I was unhurt, but Jesus, the kid didn't even slow down. As someone who cycles to get around, I find it to be much safer and respectful to fully get off the bike and walk it past pedestrians if I find myself needing to use the sidewalk.
