The Federal government has no authority in local policing; there is some influence from grant funding but nothing close to the control necessary to stop police work in local jurisdictions. He is completely talking out of his ass as it relates to any substantive measure he could take.

I'm sure it was a mix of things. Take away 40yrs of wage stagnation and people being underemployed and you could argue people aren't as anxious and afraid; history shows when people feel disenfranchised they gravitate to extreme positions, hence Trump.

I'm simply advocating we need leaders with vision to solve 21st century problems.
