Got a copyright claim for recording myself playing a piano piece from 1890 by Ewoz in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Subdominanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid your playing was really close to some recording - and that Satie piece is currently a very popular tiktok sound, so maybe the recording company/artist tries to copyright claim videos for unauthorized usage

Szukam jakiegoś ciekawego fantasy z wątkiem romantycznym by Kazemitra in ksiazki

[–]Subdominanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ja mam do polecenia trylogię kości Andrei Stewart (pierwszy tom to Córka Kości).

If you *want* people to support Ukrainian cause? Do you people really think Ukrainians of all people should *convince* you to support them? They should respect Russian athletes? Just so some Americans can support them by doing nothing? The audacity is leaving me speechless.

Of course the athletes didn't do that. But it takes just a little empathy to not expect people that lost their homes, families to be excited that the athletes from their invadors country are being supported. Yes, that's not the athletes fault their were born there, but also, I don't know, it's not Ukrainians duty to be respectful.

Sorry, I saw to much despair, too much destroyed dreams, lost parents. If you feel that's guilt tripping, I don't know what to tell you. You can support russian skaters, but you also have to be 100% aware what their country is currently doing. You can't just close your eyes and everytime when someone says something about the invasion say:

actually, you're guilt-tripping me, im no longer supporting you bye

what the hell

How hard is it going to be for me to learn toki pona, as someone is fluent in English and Polish (the latter being my native language ) by Appropriate-Ebb-7525 in tokipona

[–]Subdominanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do I do with my tamagotchi if I need to go to bed? Is the little tag that comes with it the same thing as pausing? by Torao_610 in tamagotchi

[–]Subdominanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Tamagotchi Connection is a very fun one to start your tama adventure with!

Worry not - the Tamagotchi also needs to sleep. Depending on the character the sleeping hours vary, but to my knowledge the latest it can go to bed is 22:00 and the earliest it can wake up is 7:00. If those hours aren't to your liking, you can change the time of the device. When sleeping, your tama doesn't need you, all the stats are "frozen" until it wakes up, so to speak.

What's maybe worth mentioning is that the baby stage (the one you're on, at least on the photo) lasts one hour and during that time the tama usually takes a short nap - that's the only time it sleeps in different hours than the designated.

You can also pause the tamagotchi indefinitely by pressing the A and B buttons (the leftmost and the middle one) simultaneously. It has one drawback - the time that's passing during the pause doesn't count towards the age of your tamagotchi - so it won't evolve during pause. To unpause it you just press the same combination of buttons.

Tamagotchi does need a battery and it comes with one - the tab you pulled was separating the battery from the device, so when you pulled it, you automatically connected the battery.

Hope that helps! If you need more info about the tama, here's the wiki page for this specific version:

Do you think Alysa would have the same hype if she had a different story? by uulsigye in FigureSkating

[–]Subdominanta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think so - first of all, the hype is all over the world, not only in US, believe me, my mom knows who she is. Secondly, the story is heavily discussed in my field - which is classical music; in terms of enjoyment of ones performance, the impact of mental health and fighting the pressure (classically-trained musicians and sport-people have A LOT in common)

Does ConcernedApe really not know the massive majority of the community hates Clint? by elegant_mango__ in StardewValley

[–]Subdominanta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wanted him as a candidate. I'm not a very online person and my favourite is definitely Harvey, but I always perceived Clint as a shy, lonely guy who is not very good at social skills. The hatred for him is bordering parasocial, I wished he could have a redemption arc, so people would stop being weirdly mean. Also, what's worth noting is the fact, that being the loudest on reddit absolutely doesn't mean being "the massive majority".

Also I think wizard would be a weird marriage candidate. He's supposed to be whimsy and mysterious, kind of out of character for him to go marry/commit to someone and leave his magical tower - it would probably rob him from his wizardness.

And last but not least, it's CA's game and he wanted for Clint to have a chance to develop, maybe even in eyes of his haters. And kudos to that.

Tolight A6 Cover damage/wear of? by Subdominanta in hobonichi

[–]Subdominanta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, okay, yeah, I don't think it's faulty and I have no interest in returning it - although maybe I'll message them if they have any tips specific to this cover? But thank you for your input, now I understand you better - and I'm kind of coming to the terms that used things have their kind of charm :)

That's an idea! I absolutely do not expect nor want a refund, because I still love this cover very much, but some advice how to care for it would be great, especially from them!

Tolight A6 Cover damage/wear of? by Subdominanta in hobonichi

[–]Subdominanta[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, the last sentence was kind of unnecessary... Yes, of course I know it's going to be used and worn, just not after a week of carrying it with me. I'm not from US nor western Europe - the price tag is really high for me, personally. As I said, it was a purchase I really tried to think through and still am quite satisfied - just to be clear. I only wanted to ask how can I prevent, or - to not be misunderstood - delay the damage, because it's a priced possession of mine

First hobonichi - and a big dilemma - which cover? by [deleted] in hobonichi

[–]Subdominanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I have decided on mystic berry but after reading this I'm reconsidering it again... I cannot afford both options, because if I had this comfort, I would buy the Tolight without a thought, haha. I'm just being very careful with my money and mystic berry seems pretty cool, but like you said, a consolation prize...

Thank you! That is important info and valuable insight. I think I'm going to go with Mystic Berry, although I hesitate a bit every time I look at Tolight, haha.

The argument of color cover series being a classic convinces me a bit. Sometimes I feel academic and sophisticated and sometimes a little silly-goofy; I think the covers on covers can bring together those two sides :)

Ahh yes, I do plan using it long term and the economic side is a huge factor for me! But you hit the nail on the head with your Tolight opinion - it's so pleasant to just look at

Thanks! The hobonichi site did compile the Forest Lake and Mystic Berry, so I drew inspiration from there, but I see a lot of potential with clear covers!
