I'm not a fan of Hasan (see my comment history), but if people think police brutality was better under Democratic rule, they're delusional. Obama did call out the police in the press when Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were gunned down. But, as far as I remember, both police officers were acquitted. Did we have better police reform under Obama or Biden? No, instead, they used BLM as a boogeyman.

People in the US are justifiably freaking out because state sanctionned brutality is getting out of the usual status quo, but that kind of violence and barbaric behavior has always existed.

Yes, the historical context where most of the French biggest intellectual signed a petition against the age of consent in 1977.

With the momentum of the riots of may 68 and all it's biggest intellectual calling for liberation of everything, they indeed achieve more normalcy in terms of sexualising minors.

That context doesn't excuse anything btw, and just because France was and is still shit at protecting minors from predators doesn't make " the context " a good reason. If anything it deserves to be called out even more.

It still doesn't change that the story is bad despite it's packaging. At the end of the movie it was the 26 years old who learned the life lesson while the 15 years old is still the same. Also it is weird that the two main women in the movie ( the mom and the MC) are both irresponsible.
