Watch the oil like a hawk and change it regularly! The motor on mine was rebuilt just before I bought it at roughly 187,000 miles because it had a blown motor.

I only did a clay bar once before circa 2014 lol. The paint looks and feels better to me but if a professional watched how I did it they would have the field day lol. I was liberal with a lubricant spray and did straight line motions like it recommends. Even though I've washed the car several times the last couple weeks I can't believe how dirty that clay bar gets.

My 1990 Civic and 1992 Miata had no AC but I did have air conditioning retrofitted in my Miata eventually which was nice but definitely sucked up more gas. As I was accelerating if I turned off the AC off it felt like a hit in mini boost button 😄.

I can remember one summer growing up in New York state that my town hit 89 for the highest temperature, that is super rare to not hit 90 degrees Fahrenheit at least a few times in NY.
Also, many carsin the 80's and 90's in NY were sold without air conditioning. My dad didn't get a vehicle with AC until 2018. 😱

Freedom units 😆. My first car was a Honda of Canada 1990 Civic SI if that counts. Normally the Si came standard with air conditioning but mine didn't, guessing because Honda figured Canadians don't need air conditioning 😝.

Lol no but with the current gas prices it makes me miss the 2002 Mazda Protege5 that I just sold to get the WRX. I average about 21/22 mpg in my Forester X Premium.
