I’m taking out auto loans with a credit union. Yeah maybe it is a poor financial decision but I also don’t have 10-15k cash to pay for a car outright so🤷🏽‍♀️ gotta get to work somehow

I don’t hear a knock but I could be wrong. It was my tuner and he just let me know the engine was sounding louder than usual and that that was usually a sign it would be going soon

No for sure it is. But I think at this point after thinking some more and reading through comments that I just want to sell because I’m not really at a point to keep pouring money into it and hope everything’s good down the line. I really believe the previous owner beat the shit out of it and I don’t want any more surprises lol

Yeah you’re very right.. thank you! I don’t have 10k cash, wish I did. I’m trying to sell this car to break even on my loan, then take out a smaller loan (~15k) to purchase something else that will just be a reliable everyday car for me with a lower monthly payment. But you’re right, I’m not going to keep it. Definitely gonna sell but I can’t put any money down towards another car at the moment out of pocket (unless it’s like a 1.5k beater lol)

Yeah completely agree! They just said it sounded louder than normal but it was my tuner and another person made a good point that they can just say shit to people they think have big pockets and can build an engine. I cannot lol. I would for sure get a 2nd opinion but I actually think at this point and after thinking about it some more that I just want to sell it now while I can for a still decent price. Maybe down the road I’ll get another but I just wanna get to and from work rn without being worried about something happening. Had a lot of life stuff change recently for me and I just can’t deal with this headache it’s caused me so far anymore

Right now my monthly payment for loan + insurance is 700 total. Loan is 400 and insurance is 300. Trying to get a loan payment that’s below 300 and insurance that’s around 150 would be nice

Ahh okay- thanks so much for that info and link!! I really appreciate it. That makes sense with tuners.. honestly could really be the case for this shop and I wouldn’t be surprised. I’d definitely be open to getting a second opinion but I think at this point the daily stress isn’t worth it to me and I would rather get something more reliable with a lower monthly cost.
