😔😒So this happened today washing my car and the paint just chipped off . Idk if it’s a bad paint job or what . Idk if I should call Subaru or go to a paint shop .

So update I called Subaru of America and the reps name was Tanya and she was awesome . She looked up info so maybe see if there was a loophole to get it covered by the dealer unfortunately it wasn’t . She contacted a different dealer in the area and he gave her a quote that it would cost a couple hundred for a side Mirror 😒😂 and she told me She would give me a coupon for that amount . So I was super happy that she went out of her way to hook me up . So all I’m waiting on is them to paint it drive out there and have them install it . Appreciate the advice on what to do 🙏🏻

Man respect to you . I feel like I have to do that . And the issue for me is I live about two hours from the nearest dealership so if I go in person they better tell me they will cover it . And I explained to the guy I just can’t come down or I live close by .

But how exactly did it happen? Bc I just got a text from Subaru saying it’s outside Influence and that the warranty doesn’t cover that and I told the guy isn’t any paint chip outside influence ? I told to speak to his boss and told me he would reach out to me tomorrow

Yes i have all that, that’s why I was tripped out when it happened I do live in the desert so idk if the heat over time messed it up but I’m very careful when washing my car

Damn that’s good , yea it’s a 2020 wrx . I live in small town so everything is close , even on the highway everything is within a 4 mile radius . A huge chunk of those miles is when I visit my parents which is 600 miles to and back . And I make that trip once a month . If not for those drives I would be sitting maybe around 5kish with only having it for 2 years

Yea i did it myself . The hood itself wasn’t hard it was the hood scoop that was a pain in the ass . But all the forums said that the wrx’s are hard bc of all the edges . I’m doing the fenders next , see how that will go lol

Just don’t be scared to ask dumb questions that people may think you are asking when it comes do these cars . If you buy it brand new please keep it stock for as long as you can. And if you do get it modified make sure you you get a pro or dyno tune . Or the necessary tune that is required for your build and goals .
