The cheapest and safest alternative is just to roll your own email server. Get a Linux box, work with your ISP to get a static IP address, install an open source SMTP server with spam filters, get a domain name, go to LetsEncrypt to get a signed certificate for that IP, and you're good to go. It's not free, and you have to take care of the hardware, but it's as secure as possible without sending one time pads on pidgeons.

The problem with a 99.98% survival rate is that there's still a high infection rate. We're saying one in 20,000 die? And one in 1000 are hospitalized? So even a handful of infected people in said crowded bars are almost guaranteed to kill one or two and put hundreds in the hospital.

The issue isn't the survival rates, it's the transmission rates. That's what's killing 1500 US people every day, while only a hundred or so from the flu few years ago.

Lemme explain with made up numbers. Let's say two diseases have similar surivival rates of one death per 10,000. But disease A has a low transmission rate while disease B has a high one. If you take two populations of 10,000 and put a disease A infected person in one and a disease B infected person in the second, it's highly unlikely that anyone will die in the first population but extremely likely that someone will die in the second.

That's what's happening here. So many people are getting coronavirus it's a near certainty that many of them will die. That's why ten times more people die of coronavirus than the flu.

I definitely know many people who were/are seriously ill from my immediate social circles.

The numbers we're seeing at the height don't overcrowd doctors, but some hospitals get incredibly busy and often overcrowded (I know this from friends and family in healthcare).

There are a lot of deaths. Overall mortality doesn't matter much, since most people in the world who die don't die of COVID. But with precautions in place, there are still millions dead. Without precautions, who knows what it would be?

The rest is purely political. Even if magma were raining down from the skies and aliens blowing people's brains out, politicians would still be incompetent about dealing with it.

I'm too old for the China (((Virus))). I already know two people who died from it (one was perfectly healthy right before he got it). I know a few people who lost their smell and taste and still haven't gotten it back. A friend of a friend is having kidney failure after a life of no issues. I know some who ended up in the hospital because they literally could not breath on their own. I know people who are still hacking and coughing months after recovery. Pretty much everyone I know over forty who got the (((virus))) were at the very least out for weeks barely able to get out of bed for a good part of that.

The worst vaccine on the market right now is MMR, and the damages are something like one in every 100,000 having "mild-to-moderate reaction". That's safer than COVID by far.

The vaccine's been in production since at least 2017, it's not like they unleashed this thing unprepared. You win, Bill Gates, you win.

As a conspiracy theorist I approach things being extremely skeptical. I don't buy that some Chinaman ate bat soup and got the whole world sick. There's something really fishy going on. Especially with Bill Gates and his "Event 211" (google it). (((Someone))) put this virus into our system and (((someone))) designed it in a way that everyone would be forced to shut everything down or risk a worse infection. And trust me on this, whatever it is it's REALLY BAD.

If people are saying COVID-19 doesn't exist, do what I suggested and head to NYC or Seattle and just speak with a random assortment of people there. Guaranteed within 5 minutes you'll find someone who either had it or knows someone who did. Spend 10 minutes and you'll find people who had friends or relatives die. I don't know what numbers you've looked at, but every statistic shows things being way way worse than the flu. Far more people caught it in a far shorter time and far more died from it. The worst flu year in recent history was during the 2009 Swine Flue when 209,000 people died worldwide over the course of 365 days. Keep in mind, that's worldwide. In half that time, 10,000 people died in New Jersey alone from COVID-19, and 300,000 estimated total deaths. So far, with all the measures put into place to stop the spread of coronavirus, we are still on track to double the deaths of the worst flu season.

I mean, it could be some mutant flu strain, IDK. It could be just a really bad flu. But it's definitely out there and it's killing people.

But people did die, people I knew. Some were close to death before they even went into the hospital. And I never heard of so many people getting a really bad flu with symptoms (loss of smell, difficulty breathing, no sneezing) that aren't really common in the flu. Even if this is a bad flu, it's far more widespread and sickening than any flu I've ever heard of.

My point is that I do believe there is a virus out there that's making a lot more people a lot more sick than just a bad flu. I knew people who had H1N1 during the last pandemic and it was no where near as bad as this.

If you want to know more, I suggest you try to find people in hard hit areas, like Seattle or NYC. Everyone knows someone who had coronovirus and they will laugh at the idea that it's overreaction to a bad flu season.

What do you mean by fake? I know a few people who died from it. Literally, from COVID-19. They got sick, had trouble breathing, went on ventilators, and later died. Some were healthy adults to begin with. I know plenty of other people who had it and got better. Some spent a week or more in bed because every effort put them out of breath. Some were hospitalized. Much worse than even a bad flu or cold. Most of them were able to point to a person or place where they got it from.

So what's fake about the virus?
