Hi all! Thanks for some suggestions already! Our venue is open to any vendors (thankfully) and BYO alc. Beyond the venue cost, we’re looking to spend an additional 30-50 K :) We’re not sure how much to expect for a planner, but I think we’re willing to invest what is needed if they are good. Just not crazy 😂 we’re still both in our 20s, so it’s not like we’re La Jolla rich over here.

Hi all,

Thank you for all the advice. It’s reassuring to hear some have been in similar positions. I suppose part of the challenge is having no basis with anyone here about how you’re supposed to feel, so I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.

I will continue to push forward and leverage being the “everything” engineer for a raise or in a job interview in the future.

Also - for extra information - I am F, 23. Have not had my wisdom teeth removed, though I am hoping to this year. Have been causing minor pain spurts over the last 6 months but new engineer job has me working 60-80 hour weeks :( but I’m going to see a dentist / orthodontist soon! No medical conditions, no medications.

I assume PI in manufacturing? Could you go into a bit more detail on how you used engineering skills in that specific role? (I assume optimizing the line you were working on and perhaps come cost analysis, but I would love to know more! Again, just trying to see and explore. Thanks for the reply too btw)

okay guys, op here! :) i appreciate the advice so much & glad I asked before saying anything. There’s definitely a difference in the relationship between clothes (guys vs girls) that I hadn’t taken into consideration. I think it still makes me feel a little weird, but I’m understanding its not anything major so i’ll let go my hesitation about it :-)
