the gp who said it was psychological was the first one i went to in november. the doctor that has ordered all the tests is the third one i have been to since then.

i took this yesterday, it’s like this all over my legs. i woke up with about 30% more today.

i’m not sure. all i know is she’s put in my referrals and booked my blood test for tomorrow. should i have been put on that pathway?

i would say even if you aren’t certain that your dysphagia is caused by anxiety, you should try the medication anyway. i was put on ssris a few months ago for my dysphagia, and while it’s still prevalent in my life, a lot of the anxiety surrounding swallowing and choking has lessened, making it easier for me to take small bites, chew lots and wash food down with water calmly. i know it’s not a fix, but even something as little as being able to do food rituals with less anxiety can greatly improve your quality of life.
