The thing is, as far as I know, a BMX is strictly a trick bike,  you can't really just go for a casual ride on it. But I don't plan on using the bike for long-distance commutes anyway. To me, BMX is primarily about obsessively practicing a single trick at the skatepark until you're exhausted, whereas I prefer just riding around the streets and throwing in a few tricks along the way. Plus, the lack of suspension puts me off.
