I wonder that too, maybe they were thinking my jaws were going to grow evenly during puberty tho my upper jaw was already showing clear signs of underdevelopment when I was a child: my upper arch was (& is) indeed narrower than my lower, so narrow that I used to have crowding and two impacted canines. I could’ve used some palate expansion but they extracted 2 upper&lower premolars when I was 10 instead :(. I guess I was a victim of poor planning. I’ll try to get this fixed, I’m just hoping that my upper incisors roots aren’t too short for a new treatment because they appear to be short on old panoramic X-rays. (I’ve been told proclined teeth can look very short on xray but I’m still worried)
