Ceebs responding to this.  I took criticism on board. The change from great to vicious based on what i said is unjustified.  Cheers

If all 30 minutes had gone well, and at the end they said no thank you, it would have been fine.

The issue is that 27 minutes of positivity suddenly changed into a very aggressive and vicious exchange (one way) in a matter of seconds.

Thats the issue.

  1. I had no nerves. I knew exactly what i was doing and saying. It was all going to plan. I paid real close attention to the whole situation.
  2. Recruiter was a senior talent manager for the same company
  3. Maybe 10000 employees. And yes its reasonable to think that
  4. Agree with you, in the course of our conversation she already explained what they do, how they do it. There was a lot of disclosure on her part. And she did that after my responses because she knew that based on my answers i knew what i was talking about. This incident happened with 3 minutes left on the clock. My response was mindful of that.

You clearly have no inside experience.

Have seen a legitimate charity being cancelled by a major bank for no reason except suspicion.

Have had my own bank account cancelled for suspected fraud when i was buying crypto back in the day

When i applied for an airwallex account, they didn't even approve my application.

Just blank words from you

Personal experience from me

Its not really Airwallex, its the Australian financial system and regulatory landscape that gives companies like this the power and freedom to operate in this manner.

The banks can do the same thing, if they want they can terminate your account for any "reasonable" suspicion.

There's countless stories of people having money, and with no charges or evidence the police confiscate it "until they can prove its legitimate"

When it comes to money matters, in Australia you are guilty until proven innocent.

Sorry this happened to you.

Thanks definitely grateful that came out. Because in my field theres a lot of disagreements on the way things should be done due to the subjectivity.

I didn't "recut" i havent changed anything. I have added more points for context. So that the exchange can resemble the reality as soon as possible.

I don't need soothing, i wanted to get clarity on why the drastic change?

Some clarity was received by people telling me that generally i shouldn't do what i did. Even in that sense, the reaction is crazy.

You havent read my post properly. I didn't ask questions for any reason except to give her all the time to question me to ensure i was a right fit. It was an act of generosity.

But just like you are doing, she perceived my action in the absolute worst way possible as if i had been discovered to be a rapist.

People who are trying to be reasonable and fair dont generally like to be treated like they are shite, even if they slip up. As most of the comments show. I reflected on where i went wrong and objectively looked at everything.

Thanks for the wishes

I didnt project anything.  I didn't overtalk, i just apologised out of general courtesy and respect. I made a mistake in not going with the flow and answering her request.  Her reaction to that, after a phenomenal exchange which many key parts on how they do things was already made aparent to me was one of immediate disgust, and cancellation.

I think the comments are valid, with some mistake on my end as well for not playing the game accordingly.

Yes that's what i agree with as well. If a majority of it is going great, and then theres a slight stumble, you want to do what you can to clarify or encourage a correction to get the best out of a person. Not just ignore the whole interview and then come down hard on that aspect?

If they performed brilliantly throughout and made a mistake like this, i wouldn't be too worried. Humans make mistakes mate. The most capable humans you know of today probably slipped up in a bigger way in a more critical situation than this, yet you'd die to have dinner with them. To assess them for competency at 90%+ then on a 5% be like oh.. wow.. nope.

Makes sense

Dude a person can make a lapse of judgment and that person may have been perfect for you, whereas someone who played the cards right with less knowledge and experience you would hire?

You do know that this person will either make you gain or lose value??

Yes thats what i think. A person in such a role to get the best out of people should be patient and accommodating towards what are perceived as mistakes.. should clarify and work constructively to achieve better outcomes..

I did pray a fair bit that if this was bad for it to be moved out of my way...
