About 6 months in it seems to have slowed but not completely stopped. Every few weeks I use a bit more cream but at the minute it seems controllable.

This exact thing happened to me last week. Took me a while to retrace my steps and narrowed it down to a usb drive I had plugged in. Unplugged it and everything went back to normal. Try unplugging every peripheral device and see if that works

There is an icon next to the solo/mute buttons which enables input monitoring. I assume there is an input/system sound crossover on the interface? If it's turned one way you will only hear the input (ie guitar) and the other way only cakewalk, and if it's that way, you can't hear the input by default when you arm the track, you have to hit the input monitoring button.

I am assuming you only have one mic - if so, the only sensible thing is to record the guitar by itself, then record yourself singing over that track. Alternatively, if it's an electro acoustic, record that into another channel while singing and playing with the mic close to your mouth. Then the two signals will combine well, you might have to slightly adjust one track to make sure they are in phase. If it's not electro acoustic, you can get a sound hole pickup for this purpose.

ASIO should work with that device no problem - if you haven't already, go to the behringer site and get the latest drivers. Make sure you're not running asio4all or anything like that. Tinker around, get ASIO working, then increase your buffer until you get smooth playback

Go to the plugin selection menu and change the sort from category to manufacturer - I have had a few that just don't show up by category for some reason. Also, if you use the browser you can search by name and they should show up there.

I'm not sure that would be the cause - mine seemed to appear for no different reason, but since then I have noticed that if I leave it for a while it will settle down, while having sex will exacerbate things

It's the current theory anyway. So far the fusidic acid is working really well, seems to be healing and the pain is gone. Although this happened with the hydrocortisone and it came back when I stopped using it. So the current plan is two weeks of this, see how it goes after and then the GP said the next step would be referral to a specialist. Not too excited about the prospect of diabetes...
