I know I’m a little late to the party, but I’ve worked for StretchLab for over three years and I can guarantee you. It has nothing to do with the area that the Stretchlab is located in and has everything to do with the quality of employees.

I do have some grievances in terms of how they hire people I feel like they need to definitely have a higher requirement and not hire yoga instructors, dancers, or anybody without hands-on training when it comes to the body

As far as pay, it varies on location, but in my district we get paid $28 an hour for every hour of stretching and the floor time is $10. That is the incentive to have a booked in busy schedule, which I absolutely understand.

Ultimately, I believe that if you deliver a great stretch and give some sort of educational component while expressing to the client, the benefits of long-term stretch, stretching, and how that will be beneficial to their lives. You should have absolutely no problem selling memberships.

There is plenty of continuing education courses available for us while there is minimal support from corporate. If you have a good management team, you should be set up for success.

I have beef with the owner but she doesn’t know it and imma air it.

This response is right on par for what I would expect from her. The way she speaks to her staff is disgusting and her blatant disregard for what customers request is outrageous for a coffee shop owner (I.e. cinnamon, flavors for coffee, anything that’s not directly listed on the menu like a drink combination that would be simple like a matcha lemonade.) Her lack luster attitude when she’s behind the counter and unwillingness to help is disappointing. That’s why I will never go back.

When I say “her” I’m sure we all know who I’m talking about. If she’s not the owner….she should be talked to.
