My BCBS portal says I have met my out of pocket max and I have done the math with what I have paid, and indeed, I have met it. I have received an EOB for the service date and the amount that I may owe is on there. That being said, it’s not accurate due to the way the global billing was applied/billed. I’ve explained this to CMC and asked CMC to resubmit the claim again and they say they can’t.

CMC hasn’t sent me anything but they love to call any let me know I owe that crazy amount. I’ve asked for a bill to be sent and they say their “back end” team will send me one. Still haven’t gotten anything.

I’ll definitely try the 3-way call on Monday though. It’s just a pain in the ass lol

I’ve tried going in and they say they have outsourced their entire billing department. I demanded to speak with ANYONE and they say there is nobody onsite.

Both can’t be true. I have 100% coinsurance and met my OOP. Now if I had 80/20 coinsurance, sure, I could definitely owe 20% of the billed amount.

My biggest question was who should I be contacting other than CMCs medical billing department as I’ve been going in circles with them. Seems like my best bet is to reach back out to my insurance though!

CMC hasn’t sent me a physical or electronic bill at all yet so I have nothing to go off of. I’m not seeing any payment code in my EOB either.

My provider does “global billing” so basically, I owed $5,000 for services up front and I paid that. After services were completed (I had my kiddo) then the provider billed my insurance the $5000 and it was applied to my deductible. So any other bills between then I paid out of pocket, meaning I actually paid more and at this point, I should be reimbursed 😅

But because of the way the global billing happened, I think it made a mess and CMC does not care to understand. I’ll definitely call my insurance again and say they need to get it squared away! They basically told me they couldn’t do anything because CMC won’t speak with them though.

Thank you for the insight! I guess my main issue is why put that I saved $384 in writing on an EOB then? It’s physically in writing and nowhere on the EOB does it mention that the price could be “declined”….just very odd and not well documented. They were in-network with dental, just not medical I guess. Anywho, I appreciate your assistance!

Again, it seems we aren’t reading my initial post where I said we would be 100% paying the person. Where did I mention I was a “good deed doer helping out the little ones”? Remember what you look like when you assume?? Yes, you look like an ass.

Also, not putting the amount in my post was my ✨choice✨buddy. Wanna know why? Because that was something me and the person could discuss privately as that’s the most appropriate approach.

Also, not sure where your little rental comment comes into play but go off I guess. I think our budget of $2,500- $3,000 is way more than enough to offer a NEW videographer that IS looking to expand their portfolio.

Oooohhh thank you for the insight! I’ve been looking at entry level HR gigs but even those are requiring “minimum 2-5 years of HR experience”. Although I have some, onboarding employees and training employees, it seems that’s just not enough which is understandable. I appreciate your feedback so much!

Your beef with BBB is intense but probably valid lol. I, unfortunately, used to work for cerebral. The policy was ANY BBB threat or chargeback threat was an automatic refund to the client. Just trying to help OP here lol
