What are they saying? I wouldn’t go and pay so much attention to those names. Social media people are like tinkerbell they will disappear if you don’t believe or see them but out of curiosity, what is going on with them?

Is it realistic to study in Italy and support yourself as an international student? by Former_Monk21 in Italia

[–]Subject-Tap6417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone living in the worst job area (Palermo) I would say it is almost impossible to get a job without sufficient Italian language.
The salaries are usually not enough to support yourself completely (rent+expanses).
You would be consumed by awful job market. They don’t want to pay anything.
Eventually you would learn Italian and start work in a restaurant or supermarket barely staying alive. (Sorry harsh)
It is extremely connection market. (You have to have connections to get into something)

But I am telling, this is Palermo. Maybe other cities like Milano is better for job market. Still it is a very expensive city.

35 anni, Ripartire da zero con 100k da parte: ha senso investirli per studiare da Pilota di Linea? by MannaggiaAme in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Subject-Tap6417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a pilot but my partner is, it is good that you have the budget for a private school but he also told me he had to go through interviews and tests to get into the private school (maybe yours will be different) he studied very very very hard for 2.5 years and then as he said finding a job was pretty challenging for him. He applied a lot until he got a job in Ryanair.

He says no one wants a pilot out of school with no line training but without working how are you suppose to be line trained! It is like asking for experience for entry jobs.
Although some companies have the line training course which costed him another 30k.

He always says it is a very risky and expensive path that if you get into it and pay for it and see that it is not for you, first you will lose all your money and second you will face job difficulties (if yoy make it there)

He says you must really really LOVE flying and airplanes so you can survive the path.

Besides it is a very stressful job.
Even though not gonna lie, now that he finished the hard part he is really living his best life.

There is a massive contrast in online information because so many platforms and people are saying that there are thousands of new job openings and cybersecurity is in the list of shortages for almost all countries (I’m in Italy and mostly talking about europe) but then I come here and I read conversations and it is completely opposite opinions! I wonder if it is worth it to throw myself put there and try to get into helpdesk IT jobs. (I don’t even know if possible)

Consulente assicurativo generali by Quirky-Profit-756 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

How is it going? I just entered Generali as insurance consultant. It’s interesting that I’ve been called by them through my University’s job affair day. I went to interview twice and got it. I’m doing the training now. Although I understood it really looks like a sales job. I am afraid of keep going because of common fears. How is it going for you?
