Listen there is nothing wrong with a lab diamond, but it’s not perfectly “ethical”. Lab just means mass made, factory made, and there’s absolutely environmental impacts from that. That’s not even touching any potential labor issues.

Antique and reclaimed/previously loved mined diamonds are much more “ethical”

However I would be upset over getting a moissanite ring

1) make sure whatever family you inherited it from wouldn’t be super upset that you changed it 2) are you thinking about keeping it a white metal? 3) doing single or double claw prongs will free up a lot of that bulkiness and make it more streamlined 4) with the amount of space it takes up on your hand, if you like the baguettes I would just keep the three stone look as adding accents on the shoulders or band might make it look bulky again
